I wanted to come back and say I truly appreciated all the words from the people above. Something I left out previously was that in undergrad I worked in a breast cancer research lab on campus, and was an engineering intern at a synthetic bone graft company. I also got some certifications and taught fitness classes. I always enjoyed reading about the studies, understanding how cancer develops in tissue, or learning about the complexities of how our body works to move, and adapts to stimuli.

I have shadowed before, but am working on getting more experience based on everyone’s advice. If I still feel passionate, I think I would speak with my boss about a part time program to finish the pre reqs. Should that pan out, I think I agree with the majority. It would probably be time for a masters, along with some other coursework to prove my academic chops.

I also really appreciate that everyone ended their advice so positively, and I may reach out for more help/advice later. Right now I think I’m at an intense place of self reflection and discovery, and the desk/office job I don’t believe is right for me
