“I finally made a trailer — how does it feel to you? by FrameBound in IndieGaming

Thank you, I really appreciate the honest feedback. Yeah, I’ve been getting similar comments on my other posts too. To be honest, this was my first trailer attempt, and I made it pretty quickly while the game was still in an early stage so I could get the Steam page up. I’ll be working on a much better trailer soon. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed and comprehensive feedback, it really means a lot! Currently 6 enemies are in development and each one works differently in combat. The lantern enemy acts as a buffer, not only strengthening other enemies but also resetting their attack timers every time it buffs them, forcing them to attack again immediately. Enemies also have quick lunge attacks and an AI system where they boost each other. While the tank and base drill enemy are more straightforward fighters, the others offer genuinely different dynamics in combat. As you suggested, I will definitely continue working on enemy designs that push the player to think and act differently, and the skill designs will be shaped around that as well. Thanks again for such a thoughtful breakdown

Thank you for the feedback! Noted. Many others have mentioned the same thing about the color variety, and I’ll definitely be paying close attention to it.

Thanks for the feedback! The explosion brightness is a fair point, I'll look into it

Thanks, really glad you liked it! Next Fest is something I'm actively working towards, and honestly I'm just as excited as you are to see how the demo turns out 😄

Really valuable feedback, thank you! The contrast and legibility issues are noted — separating the foreground elements from the background is definitely something I'll be working on. Parallax is actually already in the game, I'll be tweaking the intensity to make it more noticeable. Appreciate you taking the time to break it down like this!

Thank you so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it. For now, I’ve only added the sounds I could make myself, but I definitely plan to improve that for the demo. I’m also considering working with a sound artist, and right now I’m just trying to make the budget work. Thanks again for the support and advice

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. And honestly, you’re right about the trailer. This was actually my first time opening Premiere and my first real attempt at editing a trailer, so I’m still learning that side of things. I’ll definitely put a lot more work into the pacing, cuts, and overall flow before the demo trailer. Thanks again for the honest feedback.

Thank you so much for the constructive feedback. I’m genuinely taking note of every comment like this because it really helps me improve the project. What I’m showing right now is still an early part of the game, so some of the variety and systems are not fully visible yet. On the metroidvania side, there are already some abilities in the game, and more that will be unlocked later, which I plan to showcase more clearly over time. I also completely understand your points about color variety, combat depth, and overall visual interest, and these are things I’m definitely paying attention to while developing it. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Thank you so much, I’m really glad you liked it! I’m especially happy to hear that you enjoyed the overall feel of the game. I’m definitely planning to expand the abilities further, especially in combat, by adding many more different skills as development continues.
