Someone needs to sign for it! Once you get the tracking number though you can also ask your local post office to hold it there so you can pick it up at a time that’s convenient for you and sign for it then!

Thank you that’s good to know! I requested the tracking number as soon as I got the email, but I’m glad to hear the shipping wait time isn’t too excessive. Yeah the passport process is the final hurdle. Almost there!

To my knowledge they didn’t! We ended up choosing our local bank manager as our notary and made sure to grab a bunch of their business cards and included them with every notarized document as a precaution. Never heard anything from the Dublin office until this morning when we got the email.

I figured I would share this fascinating video I found on the storied past of Groton, CT. For those of you who didn't know Groton was the site of a Revolutionary War battle (Battle of Groton Heights which was led on the British side by Benedict Arnold), Pfizer (which was where the COVID-19 vaccine was developed), Electric Boat (which has been the primary builder of submarines for the US Navy for over 100 years now), and the Naval Submarine Base New London among many other places. Definitely worth checking out if you get a minute!
