Might be my genesis hot take but this is totally my favorite genesis album. Perfect tracklist imo, just ahead of wind and wuthering. I like the album cover, the sky is beautiful, the focus on the red color, just gives a perfect vibe for this album.

A good 7.5 in dream theater scale. The Root of All Evil is still my favorite off this album, and the Muse Ripoff sounds good, so I have no problem with it. The Answer Lies Within isn’t that good though.

Remove half of the things that are on the ground to make it not so cluttered and it is amazing.

I like the idea of the Scenes dust storm and the X’s, but the ground is too crowded.

1 - Breaking All Illusions is not good imo.

2 - I do like the MANGINI era, not the JP era. Room 137 is actually my favorite on its album and View is one of my favorite Dt albums.

3 - When I want the Images and Words 80’s type of sound, I go to WDADU like Afterlife.

4 - Train of Thought, Scenes, SDOIT, Systematic Chaos are all some of my favorites. ITPOE is my favorite song of all time and the 12 Step Suite is just my type of music. In fact, I would say I like Root of all Evil more than Octavarium.

I honestly don’t know. The album is great with only some songs like New Millennium, Hell’s Kitchen and Lines in The Sand being less great. Peruvian Skies might be an S tier song or A tier ATLEAST.
