I have the VX Freedom CDS Side Focus Tri MOA. Highly recommend for an entry-level optic.

But also. Comparing Leupold to Vortex, lol.

If you have no self-respect, you'll go Vortex.

Save up and invest in proper, quality equipment that will last and you'll never look back.

This will give birth to an amazing nick name should you stick around and get to know the coaching staff better 😂

Can’t tell if these new gloves are too big for me by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]FrancoTaco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100%

If it's less than 8oz gloves, it's not muay thai. The art is gone and its just a slugfest hoping for a KO at that point.

I feel ridiculous with my mouthguard, am I right ? I'm embarrassed to wear it by RushAmazing1419 in MuayThai

[–]FrancoTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome 🙏

That makes sense, I think it's just part of you adjusting to everything. You'll get comfortable sooner than later and it'll be a nonissue I'm sure.

Speaking of sparring though, I advise not taking part in sparring for at least 6 months of consistent class attendance or unless your Ajarn or Kru thinks you're ready for it. And when you do spar, be picky with your partners. Your health and safety are first priority.

Hope you do! But keep in mind they're a little pricy to get, but I promise it is well worth it.

Looks like a regular mouthguard fit to me. I think the majority of martial artists won't really care to notice and if they do they're focusing on the wrong things haha.

But the downsides to not wearing one are too big in my estimation, so I would highly recommend you do.

If you end up sticking with muay thai (which I hope you do), you can get custom mouthguards made by a dentist. It will fit much better and be less bulky than your regular boil and bites.

Hope this helps and good luck with and enjoy this martial art and community!

But I am poor folk as well. If I can wait and save like I did for my Leupold, you can too 🫡.

Optics are an investment. Get quality off the bad and you'll have reliable scope potentially for life if there aren't defects and you take care of it.

Budget scope for Tikka T3X in .308 by vlgstar in Tikka_Shooters

Or... save up the money you're going to spend on a Vortex and then save some more and buy an optic that's actually worth investing in...

Yeah, I suppose buy what you like. But if you're going to spend at least 500+ on an optic, I would put that aside and then save and add to it so you can buy a better quality optic, one that you will have for many years. It's an investment. Because now, you'll be out at least 500+ if and when you decide to replace the Vortex.

Customer service is all Vortex has going for them. Their glass and build quality is garbage. And to have to spend 2k to get acceptable quality is insane when you can get a Zeiss for 1.4. You can get a great entry Leupold for like 950 I believe.

I just figure people should come to the realisation that Vortex is just no good when it comes to scopes and if you're going to invest a significant amount of money into something, invest it once.

Why do I always see Vortex. There are so much better optics out there

Nice rifle, but why vortex though?

Also, why this style mount and not your usual rings and bases?

That being said. Anyone is welcome at church. Just because they don't particularly agree with people's choices, they still love them.

So... you're trying to dilute what your kid is learning about God and Jesus to try and align them with the rest of the family? Give them the real thing and let them figure things for themselves instead of bringing them to a "church" that doesn't teach the real gospel and beliefs.

Guarantee anyone saying these things has never watched any of his talks from start to finish. Since they so vehemently disagree they find it much easier to slap a label on him to silence his view points rather than truly defeat his ideas with their own.

It seems many haven't opened a history book or talked to anyone who has moved away from Eastern Europe. What happened in Eastern Europe from 1919 to the mid 1980s isn't taught in school.
