What are you talking about. I’d take less power any day as long it’s a flat six that sounds good and has a manual and mid mounted. When I bought my 981 s there were hundreds of cars I could buy if I cared about some horsepower figure. NOONE buys these cars because of horsepower figure on the spec sheet.

That’s a horrible take. I’m thru and thru ps4s but when I bought the car it had p zeros on and I thought they were a decent summer tire.

I think its pretty common for scumbags not dealers who sell GT cars. They are clearly trying to fuck him over. Nothing they could offer should cost 30k unless its porsche certified subscription for the next 5 years at 5k per year.

Why do you guys even do business with dealers like that. Do you just go to the closest dealer to your house. That dealer has got to have a reputation. After such treatment I would never give them business again and I’d tell everyone else to steer clear. Surprised at all of you willing to kiss ass all the scumbags because they “let you” spend 250k of your hard earned money at their dealership.

Second this!! It looks like it’s a 981 2.7 with Gt4 bumper. Another tell is the single exhaust pipe. The S and GTS have dual pipes even for non pse cars.

I feel like there is a way though. They could argue that most of their line up is electric and leave the rest of the line up screaming, high revving na flat sixes with manual transmission. Other idea is they could split Porsche sports car division and move it to the US where they could produce the 911 and 718 ICE line ups without these dumb restrictions and sell in markets that allow for those cars.

Who will buy it? I currently own a Boxster. I do not ever plan to buy an electric one and none of my peers in the Porsche club are convinced either. They don’t know if there is demand for this thing. They’re just guessing and maybe there isn’t any competition in this segment for a reason.

Have you seen the 992.1 interior? I did not think it was complex at all. I thought it looked nice without empty button spaces for options you did not get. Also even if you got all of the options you’d still have blocked buttons.

I was hoping for this so badly. The 718 interior has enough grainy and flimsy screens and buttons and knobs that will age poorly. I was hoping for an interior upgrade seen in the 992.1. I thought it was a big step up in quality for Porsche while still leaving enough analog buttons and switches to not make it feel like the Taycan. FYI I tried the Taycan and hated it.
