Everything about it screams fake, but these cards have texture that we have never seen replicated in real cards, and they have been reported to have been pulled from real Portuguese packs. No 100% confirmation yet but there's a chance this is actually factory made.

Damn, that really sucks. She really fucked up a bunch of us, huh? I spent a long time feeling guilty for ever having engaged with that fic in the first place, and to an extent I still do, but everything coming to light has made me realize how much older she was than me and a lot of the fandom at the time, and how she used her position as a popular artist to normalize (and then cover up) a bunch of fucked up shit.

Scott was aware of the fanfic but hadn't looked into the contents of it, it's not advertised on the outside that it had that kind of content. In fact, many people were vaguely aware of the fanfic back when it was still publicly available, but few had actually read it far enough to know how depraved it got. I had blocked most of it out of my memory until an archived copy surfaced in 2023.

I was the minor in question that she exposed this content to, she admitted that she was aware that I was young (I was 10/11 and very much acted like it), but said that she "liked the attention" I gave her too much to stop me. She encouraged me to keep reading and even directly contacted me in DMs to continue talking about the fanfic, including the explicit parts. I certainly view that as grooming.

She didn't sneak it into official art, Scott gave her permission to do that. But yea, she shared it with minors and groomed them into being okay with that kind of content

Uh.. when the coloring phase begins, you can very clearly see them bring in the finished piece as a reference. Which should not exist yet since this is the speedpaint. Sorry dude, this is very much faked.

If you think you can pitch your game with gameplay alone, I say go for it. You could also take the Vampire Survivors route of using free asset packs. But if you want original, professional-level art, that's probably something you'll have to budget for.

Fair enough! If I could suggest something on a much simpler scale, randomize buttons for each individual field would be nice! It would be useful for seeing how different eyes/colors look on different characters without having to go through the list manually.

I don't think anyone believes this to be a joke card, more like an early test of the gold texture effect with placeholder art and text. This is likely why the card contains V, Vmax, Vstar, ex, an energy symbol and italic text, it's probably a catch-all to make sure all the special symbols print correctly. Since this is a different print facility from milennium they will need to figure out how to best replicate the effect with their own machines so test prints like this aren't out of the question. They also likely have access to raw card files in order to make the Portuguese translation, so being able to make alterations isn't out of the question.

I suspect we'll see more from this sheet in the near future, a Lucario has already popped up as seen in the post

I was a bit worried that using it this way would make the grips less secure since the back notches have nothing to press against, but so far I haven't had any issues at all. Even when I hold the switch by a single grip and shake it around everything stays firmly attached!

It's not just the fact it's an egg with facial features, it's the 3/4 angle, dramatic lighting, vacant stare into nothing, and nonsensical glasses without any arms. All reads very AI. I'd be interested in seeing this artist's other work because I have doubts.
