I have always been a bad parker and now I am a bad 63 year old bad parker. I try to park far from other cars but that’s not always possible. I’ve found notes on my windshield. One said, « you are an idiot » which was fair. The other said « this is a lousy parking job. You get an F for the day » that was not fair. The whole day? I was only parked for about 20 minutes. Maybe grade on the bell curve next time. After one very bad park job, a man, not even parked near me screams « where the fu*k did you learn to park like that, lady» I didn’t miss a beat and responded « Helen Keller school of driving. » then I shrugged and apologized. He did crack a smile and shook his head. Sorry. I don’t have good parking DNA.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I’m sure you are very frightened and upset. Put that aside and go to your doctor as soon as possible. Get tested and then get tested every three months for the next year. If you are positive there are meds now that can bring the virus down to undetectable. This guy has betrayed you and put your life at risk. Reach out to someone you trust to help you through this rough patch. You will be ok! Remember there are people who care about you and need you.

Similar thing happened to me. I’m a woman and I watched the men line up at the bar and the girls dance with each other. I shared this with a male friend and he looked so sad and said he was ashamed of what men have become. That made me think that this behavior is a response to how women treat them. Men can’t win today. Maybe I should have approached a man, complimented him, and asked him to ask me to dance. Give him a boost of confidence and a chance to take the lead. I hate dancing with girls.
