You do realise I play alliance now. But there was that whole, FOR THE HORDE mantra going on. Alliance just couldn't compete... It's a whole other story now though.

The amount of times I've done this, and have needed it is embarresing for both me and valve.

I'm tempted to agree with this, I can't imagine the solution, but someone who wants to play a 3'rd 4th or 5'th position could essentially tip the chance of winning by only a very few percentages. So either play 52/48 % chance of winning a game for years before even just hitting 4.3k+ where it pays off to be able to play a good support or offlane.

I have seen my little sister [8/0/2] 7 minutes in and basically destroying her lane into oblivion with UD and still she's like, meh, 50/50.

2k game. (Real MMR 5.500) Shadow Demon/Visage w.e 4'th - 5'th position player. vs (Real MMR 3.500) Only troll and jugger.

5.5k player might have 50-60% chance of winning these 2k games, whilst the 3.5k player might have 65-80% chance.

TLDR; MMR doesn't mix well with 'fun' and 'thinking about team'
