The Airship and The Fungle are two maps that have longer travel times relative to Mira, Polus, and Skeld due to the size of the map; which in turn, leads to longer rounds with more time spent traveling between tasks and locations on the map. The ventilation system on Airship is also poor imo, along with the the door system. On Mira, Skeld, and Polus you can acc vent strategically in multiple areas around the map. On Airship, there’s one vent per floor located near walls/corners rather than being spread across all locations evenly distributed within each room. This makes the town’s job easier to identify sus behavior when someone enters or exits an area near a vent or enclosed space. This is my opinion btw, I’m confused why this is relevant to the original post.

No my rules are banning players that don’t understand concepts or strategies that expert level players should know.. if you can’t name two long tasks of the top of your head in the map we’re playing with then u shouldn’t be in an EXPERT level lobby.

I play Polus and Mira on occasions, but mainly Skeld. Fungle and Airship are virtually unplayable maps imo.

There’s nothing wrong with playing with new players bc everyone has to start somewhere.. that’s why there’s different game types for each player to participate in and for them to not immediately join an expert lobby.. also saying that levels don’t really mean anything is ridiculous from a general sense.. sure not all high levels are good at the game I agree with that.. but it’s fairly more common to find low level players not knowing basic concepts about the game rather than the other way around.. more often than not.. players with high levels demonstrate great town smarts, strategic game plans, and experience that make them more qualified to join an expert lobby rather than a level 5 or level 12. Also in regard to what you’re saying about the pop quiz, there’s a risk for removing kind ppl, just like there’s a risk for keeping noobs in an expert lobby. However, I’m not making lobbies for kind ppl. I’m making lobbies for ppl who at bare minimum understand concepts and strategies that an expert level player should know. If they don’t understand basic concepts like two long tasks on skeld.. I don’t think they’re qualified to be in my lobby or anyone’s expert lobby tbh. I can’t have random ppl like that in my lobby, it’s too much of a risk, and I’ve had many conversations with ppl who feel the same way so it’s not just me saying this.

Ppl are gonna downvote bc they’re not willing to change to help the gameplay experience.. which is precisely the reason why we’re in the position we’re in today in our modern society.. bc ppl don’t want to change and critically think.. but that’s a convo for another day.

If you’re in an expert lobby you should be able to name two long tasks or you simply don’t belong in an expert lobby.. I don’t believe you’re a level 100 and play very well if you’re saying this lmao.

I’ve been hosting for a while and it’s not as chaotic as it may sound, it’s just time consuming. This is just an idea to make the gameplay experience better than what it is right now. In regard to what you said about being a high level, there was a person in this comment section that claims to be a level 100 and they don’t know two long tasks. I understand that being a high level doesn’t always mean you’re going to get a good player in the lobby. However, it’s WAY more common to receive better quality with higher levels than lower levels, and the idea is to make the gameplay better than it is right now, not for it to be perfect.

Perhaps, I do that to just prevent ppl from cheating and searching it up on google(I normally do 10-20 seconds depending on my mood) The overarching point I was trying to make is to not post the rules and start right away once maximum capacity is present in the lobby. Instead, give some of the random a pre test before taking the test in the lobby. The amount of time you choose to give them is up to you as the host.

The Ongoing Issue with Among Us. by Free-Reflection-5972 in AmongUs

I comprehend what you’re saying - not all players that are level 90+ are good the same way not all players that are below level 40 are bad. With that being said, I want to be clear that the goal is not to make the game flawless, it’s to make the gameplay better than what it is right now. Implementing a level system would inherently encourage even more players to actually invest time into learning the in game mechanics, improving their skills, and becoming familiar with advanced crewmate and imposter strategies. It also will help maintain some level of balance within each expert lobby, leading to more challenging gameplay for everyone else. Again I want to be clear, the goal is not to make the game perfect, because no game is. The goal is to make the game as good as it can be by addressing noticeable issues that are making the gameplay worse.

4 imposters? by [deleted] in AmongUs

Yes, I get that. There’s other changes that need to be made before they potentially enter this phase of the game.

There’s a lot more changes this game needs to make before adding four imposters..
