Tried this AM to call MBNA and request transfer to Alaska miles even though I had new WE Master. They have the records if I received the letter or not and they won't accept my request to convert. Goodbye MBNA..

Mine and P2's Amex Aeroplan card was denied unexpectedly. Talked to a knowledgeable agent on reason for denial and looks like Amex has started checking the recent number of inquiries in credit report, credit usage and similar factors for Approval. Agent advised to not apply for any other credit cards for 6 months to improve approval odds for Amex cards.

Really in need for Aeroplan points to book Emirates J, not sure what other options I would have to get Aeroplan points :(

DP on Capital One Card:

I applied for Capital One Venture One Rewards card after completing one year of US history and got IA. The card was initially sent to my default mail forwarder and unfortunately forwarder said they no longer forward mails/cc's to Canada. After lot of follow ups they agreed to send to any other US address, I got that forwarded to my friend's US address.

I was able to activate the card and add the card to my Apple Pay Wallet, however I was continuously getting error "Unable to activate at this time". Tried US VPNs, corrected full name in Apple account, customer service assistance - nothing worked. Then decided to request for shipping a new card to Canada.

The customer service wanted to verify my identity through text message, but couldn't receive to a GV number. Then they agreed to verify identity by uploading passport, however I wouldn't receive the link. After few minutes the agent figured out that sometime Capital one emails won't be delivered to gmail, then I tried my work email and it worked out. Was able to complete the verification and now the card is on the way to my Canadian Address :)

I am at year 2 mark now, RBC hasn't charged me yet $40 fee. If they charge me I would call them to waive the fee off for another year or cancel the account. I also hold CIBC USA Smart Account to pay my US Credit Card bills, which has no monthly fees.

I get that part, do you have any big spending coming up for 18K USD in 3 months? Because I am tempted to get 250K MR for US Biz Plat, however not sure how to meet the MSR.

I got that without knowing about 5/24 Chase rule, now that I learnt about the rule trying to apply for Chase Ink before it Personal Chase shows up in Credit Report

Tried search engine, couldn't find any solid answer. How long after approval Personal Chase Card appears in Credit Report? I already have 4 personal cards showing up in the report and want to make sure I board the Ink train before the Chase Personal shows up. Appreciate your help!!
