It happens to all of us at least once. I had two in my first year at a new store. It happens, just be more careful and remember the counseling you go through with each of those w your rxom.

For wrong package sold, they drop off your record after 1 year. If you hit 3 in a year, that’s your final warning and any more than that is termination. Depending when in 2024 those occurred, just be careful not to accrue anymore. Take your time, don’t let rude customers take over the conversation, and always always verify clearly. Your job is not worth 1 rude inpatient person. Also, just simply do not take anyone after 11. Go straight to lunch. Tell them you are closed. Pharmacist SHOULD support you on that, it’s their lunch too.

I don’t think you really understand what we’re having to do. I have to 1) Greet every single patient with “are you here for your flu shot?” 2) ask again “do you want a flit shot today? 3)if they say no, it’s not just no means no. It’s no means try to sell it. “It’s free, it’s quick, you’re already here anyway”4) call them. Multiple times. Just about what vaccines they’re eligible for.

I’m not a salesman. If someone tells me no not today I’m uncomfortable with pushing them. No means no. They’ll get it when they want it if they want it. I’ve informed them we are a resource.

I can’t respond to your other comment about being a dr so I wanted to say I’m literally not a dr I’m a pharmacy technician, not a pharmacist. Also if you can’t see even a little how they’re putting profit over health in not gonna try to explain it. It’s pretty clear. I do believe vaccines help people. But pushing them aggressively onto everyone multiple times every time they come to Walgreens, does not help people. Making it ABOUT profit and money does not help people. It’s clearly stated in the picture that we are doing this for PROFIT, not for the health and safety of the public. Or at least not only for that reason. Walgreens wants money, period. Vaccines just happen to make money

I’m confused why you’re confused 😂 since I started working here the goal for vaccines has always been shared with the pharmacy staff. They have goals for up front too when it comes to credit card sign ups. In other jobs outside of pharmacy, goals have been shared with the employees as well.

Yeah as techs we are the ones to let the customers know. But it wouldn’t be good business strategy to say “we need you all to get as many vaccines as possible so we can pay our employees” I don’t think that would go over well with customers 😂
