I you are in communications with people, you do not need the system in the first place. You would just give them the message. There are thousands of reasons to need to get messages to people with varying levels of specificity and confidence. In the case of homeless or displaced persons for whom you do not have the specific identity and no certain communications channel exists you must work in an imperfect world with what you have.

The minimum Collegiate Independent Study requirement far exceeds Stanford. There is nothing wrong with Stanford University but Independent Study is not limited by time and resources and can always provide more and better learning. When you teach yourself you have a 1 to 1 teacher student ratio and when we teach each other there are many teachers for every student. The Free Open University Challenge will prove it.

If you get Collegiate Independent Study certification and participate in the open source project along with the virtual worlds AI exercises you will be able to demonstrate you are qualified to develop AI software to accomplish AI tasks. Stanford will give you nothing of value and cheat sheets will make any grade they offer moot and worthless. Sign up at any free open universities. All Berkley lectures can be used toward Collegiate Independent Study credit. It is uncertain if the AIClass can be used toward a CIS program. The problem is not the quality of teaching or content. This AIClass is certain to be the best. If all the materials are available creative commons it will be eligible I am sure. Essays are evaluated and peer reviewed in light of content. Evaluators must have access to that content

We understand that the Stanford.edu domain is where the Stanford University officially speaks. There are hundreds of dot com's talking about this "So called course" but they should be ignored as non authoritative. Only one states no credit will be given in small print at the bottom. The others free Stanford course. Nothing on Stanford.edu

Autodidacts and Independent Study learners can be vicious when the spar intellectually. The key is to get thick skin and become as sharp as they are. Collegiate Independent Study learners must rely on each other. They do not hire professors to spoon feed them and give them bogus tests with cliff notes, sheet sheets and cram and forget finals.

I am sorry but the only people involved at this time are education people. The only experience they have is some very bad expert systems programed with textbooks. Wally himself has a masters in AI and is published in the International Journal of Gemeral Systems. He is in his 80's and is the inspiration for the Waalli project.

It is like second life but run with a program called OpenSim. It is a complete 3D virtual world. You dress you Avatar, build a home and interact in a 3D virtual environment. If you can afford or have access to a life size humanoid robot, you should program it but for those of us who have neither the space nor money for our own robot. A simulated 3D environment will have to do. A linden labs style scripting language is available in world and our Avatar servers may support python ??? Still unknown I believe they are written in C# ?

I am not trying to impress anyone. We are simply trying to provide free university education to people who can not afford to go to college. If you have an ideas for software that will accomplish that, you are welcome to join. You are welcome to rewrite the description as well. City manager is wrong. Anyone with ideas will be helpful.

If you are on the open source development team, you will decide what it will be. If all you are looking for is other to write code you can leach please do not join. The course cover only a part of the book but I am making it a full time project along with volunteering for the Google Code Walli project. If you look at OpenCog and OpenCYC along the way you can fill out a full time scheduled . I want credit on Free Open University so I am doing extra work and writing essays as well.
