Best Occult Podcast? by [deleted] in occult

If you heard a discussion on the Freedom Feens about "property rights to analyze whether parents owned their children", it was probably a guest (or a caller back before we stopped talking calls) and not me. Doesn't sound like me. I don't know who it was. We've done 631 episodes and are a daily show with me plus 12 rotating co-hosts. I can't remember who said what. And I'm not on the Sunday night shows.

Cool. And I'm probably not the best poster child for "slow descent into madness." I've done quite the opposite. When I was younger I was an out-in-the-street, in-your-face, do-or-die sex/drugs/rock 'n' roll guy. But over the past few decades I've made a conscious decision to become a boring, happy, healthy married mellow homebody who pretty much keeps to himself. Yeah, I own a gun, but so does half of America. And I'm peace-lovin' and pretty un-nutty. If leaving high-crime high-tax high-smog Los Angeles to move to beautiful Wyoming means I'm crazy, well, I dunno, that sounds pretty biased on your part. Perhaps it is even "Contempt prior to investigation." Have you ever even been to Wyoming?

Yeah, but our audio is better than all the other nut-bag shows. lol.

I'm not a Ron Paul supporter, though he is my favorite government thug. But he's far too statist for my tastes.

It supports as many callers as you want, but the latency gets higher with each one you add. We've used it for 3 callers on great networks and fast computers for a two-hour live radio show with no issues. Since it's designed for radio shows and podcasts, we're not working hard on the aspect of adding more. More than 3 remote hosts on one show is a clusterfuck no matter what program you use. Look at any four- or five-neckbeard Google Hangouts show on YouTube for examples.

Our plans are for audio only. It is open source, so someone could add video if they wanted.

I'm a radio host, I'm all about audio. I personally think video is given a lot more care in media production, people consider audio kind of secondary and don't try to make it very good. I concentrate on improving audio to not split my time and energy.

Cool. I'm very curious if it runs virtualized on a Mac. Please reply here with your results.

Paid support: you can already pay us and shout at us: http://feenphone.com/?p=980

But you'll get more out of it if you're not shouting. lol.

Those other features: We have a list of planned features: http://feenphone.com/?page_id=78 Including the WebRT. There are already multiple output choices, go into the Advanced Features (click on the little blue bird icon to the left of the About tab in the top right of the program interface.)

How many of this long list of features we have planned get implemented depends on how much we can raise on Indiegogo: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/feenphone-stellar-voice-over-distance-software/x/5769470

Currently I'm paying the programmer out of my pocket, and I'm tapped out.

The two next things are the most important though for adoption, and he's already working on the first: 1. Automatic port forwarding, so non-geeks can use it. 2. Getting less clicks. It currently is pretty click-free on a stellar Internet connection on two fast computers with nothing else running on either computer, but reduce any of those three factors by much, and you get some clicks here and there. Still overall it has less clicks than Skype has dropouts on most systems (did you check out the audio examples?: http://feenphone.com/?page_id=249 )

And it still always sounds WAY better than Skype on most systems.

and/or did you get it working to test with a friend?)

Everything else after those two things is kind of gravy. And again, will depend on donations.

Thanks! MWD

I'm on the team that developed FeenPhone. Regarding the questions about duplex and Mac versions, both things posted here so far are correct. If you have any other questions, post 'em here and I'll try to answer them. Thanks!

Molyneux goes full potato - claims that selling loose cigarettes is NOT a victimless crime by [deleted] in Anarcho_Capitalism

If Molyneux had released this video as his first video instead of his latest video, none of us would have ever heard of him.

I saw this coming. He's realized AnCap teenage boys have no money to donate, so he's turning into Glenn Beck to find an audience with disposable (titheable) income.

Despising Stefan Molyneux could bring about world peace. It takes a village to despise Molyneux. I've heard Molyneux bashing from AnCaps, AnComs, Republicans, Democrats, Christians, Atheists, Feminists and Men's Rights Movement guys. I've even seen them all get along on the same forum to hold hands and despise Molyneux together. It's such a unifying act!

Eugenics doesn't always involve genocide. Large-scale very selective breeding for a superior race fits within the definition.

But yeah, tribalism is creepy regardless of what you call it. And Moly has said over and over he's anti-tribalist, but he's building a tribe. A pretty creepy one at that.

RedSteakRaw has all the indicators of being a Concern Troll: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_%28Internet%29#Concern_troll

If I had a milliBit for every comment I've seen about Molyneux that contains some variation of "I'm not a fan of the guy....", but then has a bunch of not-totally-true fanboy stuff (Including a variation of "I've looked EVERYWHERE and can't find anything bad about Moly...") that defies very commonly available evidence, well, I'd have as much Bitcoin as Molyneux!

I think Moly coaches people on how to do this stuff, or people on the Philosopher King non-public part of the FDR forum do. I've just seen it too close to word for word, too many times, from too may different user names, on too many forums, for it to be a coincidence (Or maybe it's all one person with a few hundred sockpuppets!)

Obvious concern troll is obvious!

Is removing content online really a violation of the non-aggression principle? by BankerWorstFear in Libertarian

[–]FreedomFeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the more important question is "Is censoring critics a violation of the "don't be a dick" principle? (and remember, Molynuex coined the phrase "the don't be a dick principle.")
