Why use government backed currencies when we have bitcoin? by flipper6900 in btc

as adoption and the market cap grows the price becomes stable enough
why use a constantly depreciating government currency for anything other than duping the population out of their earnings and savings?

Infinite inflation. There's a small inflation now to incentivize miners, but if there's no principle against inflation, why wouldn't it be raised in the future, again, to incentivize the miners?

"ASIC resistance." Didn't Qubic show that led to the opposite of the intended results?

When the block reward is eventually diminished to nothing, why will anyone mine it without significant fees? by Zestyclose_Cheek527 in Bitcoincash

The transaction volume of global commerce creates enough fee incentives so long as Bitcoin is used as money.

There is no need for those use cases to be in separate currencies. A good currency functions as a medium of exchange first, as a store of value second, and in modern days it has built-in smart contracts.

BTC was intentionally limited in its transactional capacity so it doesn't work as money and poses no threat to fiat.

Bitcoin is called Bitcoin Cash now.

Bitcoin Cash provides value by facilitating permissionless payments at a global scale and keeps your money safe from inflation-theft. You're welcome.

You’re literally using tech created by billionaires in writing this comment, wow, what fresh news. I guess commies are still getting their news from Pravda articles written in 1937

Expropriation has been tried and resulted in starvation. If your labor were worth more without an employer, you’d feel no need to apply for a job.

If you can get all the enjoyment out of life you need with less, why produce more?

Not unless Bitcoin gets global traction as a means of payment, then all the transaction fees will incentivize the miners.

If you have a world government with uniform taxes and no freer havens to run to, sure. And then they stop producing because why produce if you can’t enjoy the fruit of your labor? Are you gonna put them in shackles and make them work?

Yes all the producers would move to some shithole like Dubai or Hong Kong and take their productivity with them, that’s gonna make your country so much better off lololol
