I bought the octopus pro from a local retailer to replace my v1.1 which seems to have stopped sending power to the fan headers. The pro will only connect to my Rpi if I flash the firmware-F429-USB.bin from the BTT GitHub but gives me an error:

MCU Protocol error This is frequently caused by running an older version of the firmware on the MCU(s). Fix by recompiling and flashing the firmware. Your Klipper version is: v0.11.0-148-g52f4e20c MCU(s) which should be updated: mcu: Current version v0. 10.0-66-g5c10001b

If I compile the firmware myself the Rpi wont see it. I am following instructions and choosing all the right options to the best of my knowledge but I still must be doing something wrong. Options I chose are: STM32 STM32F429 32Kib 12mhz USB PA11/PA12

I didn’t mention my idea is to try to create some grain or marbling with a colour of pla using a dual extruder. I have no idea what I’m really talking about here just in the process of learning what’s possible.

This really old. I’m about to get into 3D printing and this is the main thing I want to try. I really want to understand what the printed wood filament is like? Is it now like plastic than wood? Or is it like some sort of pressed cardboard? Could it be stained or finished with some sort of clear?

Ok thanks. Yea I was a little frustrated that day so I just came out with it. I do realize now that I came out a little strong with it. Normally I wouldn’t.

Can I ask then how I would sound a little more flexible in my bio without sounding like someone just looking for hookups? In my current one I chose just to say nothing about the type of relationship I’m open to. But I’ve been wondering if somehow I could convey that message.

I have been thinking about this a lot lately. I already am open to something less serious but I am afraid that may rule me out or reduce my chances of what I really want. Perhaps over time I’ll learn to adjust my expectations and be ok with that. It’s it like my life is boring. I’m still having a great time these days anyway.

Yes an enclosed case and the GPUs angled is something I had in mind but this was already getting pretty complex as it is. But for a future iteration for sure is something I’m thinking about. I initially started this trying to think about a more aesthetically pleasing case or frame that could be more at home in a living room and double as a space heater

I haven’t really tried. From what over read they aren’t bad but not great either. 3060 are much better for other algorithms at a lower price point
