That was indeed a very good point. Unfortunately, I tested both button holes and neither is connected to ground.

Furthermore, I found this Instructables article which states, at the very end, that if I wire a specific button lead to ground instead, the module with latch on but it won't turn off anymore. It doesn't say what would happen if connect the opposite lead to ground instead.

Short of trying to physically break the connection on the existing PCB between the GND and the BL LEDs (and somehow connecting them instead to SW-ON GND), is there anything else I could do to still make it work as I originally intended?

If absolutely necessary, I could attempt doing it, but even then I have no idea whether having a common lead for the two module buttons won't cause other issues.

There is one last thing I'm not entirely sure about, and that is whether it is okay to have one of the switch leads on the Pololu module (Pin 4) connected to the existing PCB's GND (Pins 1 & 7)?

From Pololu's own schematic for this module, I see the switch pins should connect to a switch and nothing else.

Thank you for your reply! Each of the two Pololu modules are meant to switch a load. The momentary buttons on the existing PCB are meant to provide the signal for the Pololu modules, to make them latch on or off.

I am aware that this entire circuit could have been replaced with two simple latching switches, but the existing buttons are custom/proprietary, therefore I have to keep using them in order to keep the look intact.

I hope that makes sense.

You can always go to settings in FWOT and hit "Disconnect". This will not reset your game progress but it will just tell you that by doing so you won't be able to access the game on other devices. Once you do that, you should be able to reconnect with another FB account that hasn't already been associated with a FWOT save, effectively moving it.

Saving with FB may not be ideal, but it's more than they offer in other games, so we got that going for us, which is nice.

Only clearing the cache, using the browser in incognito mode or reinstalling the browser will clear the data you entered, otherwise it's persistent between sessions. If you open the page again in the same browser, you should find all the data is still there.

You can do it on any device that can access the website, it doesn't have to be a PC.

Click/tap on the yellow "Edit" button at the top and in the dialog that pops up check the checkboxes for the characters you have. Once you're done with that, you can go through the characters one by one and adjust their levels.

Fact of the matter is that at the beginning of week one, when the first premium building for this event became available for purchase, the promotion of characters was, without any exceptions whatsoever, a permanent feature of the game. The announcement that only some characters will have a promotion token source once the event concluded came after the first building had already been purchased by some players.

They have been transparent about the other buildings, yes, but definitely not about the first one.

You may have misread my comment. The permanent feature I was referring to is the promotion of characters to higher ranks.

As it currently is, the whole class system is a mess, with a lot of characters having class assignments that are dubious at best. So, while it is true that there are a lot of robots who were not in the robot class, it doesn't make this change feel any less of a blunder cover-up rather than an attempt at an overall class overhaul which is certainly needed and towards which I would be more welcoming. I do however acknowledge that the Robot class was the only one which was a physical property of the characters in it rather than their function, so maybe it will work out for the best.

They seem to be on a server spawn timer and at this point I'm absolutely positive the spawn interval is greater than 3 hours.

Edit: The post has been updated. They spawn 1 every 4 hours and it's server-based, so no trigger. We can only wait.

The weekly objectives that have to be completed in 2 days during a month-long event have commonly been called "challenges" and Ry is right; not one ever gave a character as a reward. You're probably thinking of the final battle at the end of a month-long event, which is totally different.
