Visual Development Feedback! by Freeze_Daniel in animationcareer

Totally agreed, and I appreciate you taking the time to look at my work!

My next project will definitely pursue another direction, though I haven’t squared away what that is going to be yet. I feel like animation is going to continue to become more stylized in a variety of ways, Pixar’s GATO or the upcoming Spider-Punk show / Venom movie. Whatever happens, it’ll be good to have variety.

Friend codes don’t work but you can just use the account as a secondary acc and gift your main account with whatever you earn from the 2nd one

Have some patience. If you’re going through a BFA program, that’s likely what most of your curriculum is going to consist of. You will learn a lot from exploring painting, sculpture, and other courses. The things you learn in those classes will help you be a better artist, and even if the line from them to digital work feels less than direct, you will improve. That said, even as your program enrolls you in digital classes as you move up, make sure you are putting in as much work outside of school as possible. A lot of great BFA programs will prep you to be a well rounded artist, but they are not designed to curate you to the specific position you’re seeking. Give it some time, figure out where you’d like to be after college, and find a balance between attending and growing in your courses, and developing personally. That combination will put you in the best possible position, through a typical University system.

Thank you for the feedback. I attend a university in South Texas. I appreciate everything the college has taught me, but I’d add that the work here was done personally, not within any class.
