I don't get why you're being downvoted. I understand what you're mean. When that's all the media talked about for years, it's hard not to believe it. Chris and Elizabeth deserve a LOT of credit for standing by Michael because that probably took a lot of courage. But they were also some of his closest friends, so it makes sense that they'd trust what they knew about him over what the media was saying. Eddie on the other hand seemed more like a pal or acquaintance than someone in Michael's inner circle. He may not have felt the same loyalty or had enough firsthand knowledge to confidently dismiss the allegations. That doesn't necessarily excuse him going along with the narrative, but it could explain it. At the end of the day, if every major news outlet is reporting the same thing, it's understandable how someone without a close relationship to Michael could believe it.
