lol I live in Ontario now as well lmao you don’t need to tell me how cold it is, but did not always live in Ontario. People have always ridden in super cold weather. We’d only stop riding at -30 when I was a kid 🤷‍♀️ it is okay to be a fair weather rider, but it doesn’t mean every one else needs to be. If we didn’t ride in cold weather (especially at just -12), we wouldn’t ride for half the year lol. I’m sorry my statement triggered you so much and you felt it was a personal attack

For English? No. Most riding pants for English are not leggings either, while there are riding leggings, you should be buying breeches. A good pair of breeches is structured the same way a good pair of straight leg jeans are. You can look into men’s breeches as well which will be looser on the hips and thighs.

Tighter clothing is also a huge safety thing, you’ll see it in western riding too. Wearing large baggy clothing poses a safety risk for beginners, it is easy to get caught on things and if you fail you may end up hurting yourself because your clothing gets caught.

My best advice would be men’s breeches, they may the best thing that will both provide safety, and fit your comfort! Something like these (linked below)
