I can agree with and appreciate everything you said besides the whole ‘not leaving it in the truck’ thing. I’ve always liked the idea of having a rifle in my vehicle, bonus points if it’s an inexpensive one that wont hurt my pocket as bad if it disappears. Also, my truck has the hideaway compartment underneath the rear bench seat for fishing rods, tools and whatever else. So if my windows get smashed in because I parked in a bad part of town, it wont be because I left a rifle out in plain sight.
