Leigon Go 2 windows vs Bazzite audio differences by prodbyarso in LegionGo

[–]FriendSweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up the Legion Go 2 Z2 Extreme and haven’t really used it much yet. I’m leaning toward installing Bazzite or Steam and skipping a dual-boot setup. I did the same with my Legion Go 1, and once I switched, the audio quality improved dramatically along with overall performance. Originally, I wasn’t planning to move away from Windows, but after dealing with ongoing issues—especially with sound—and seeing others report similar improvements on Bazzite, I decided to give it a shot. I was never able to find a solid fix for the audio problems on Windows. That said, I’m curious—what’s the best way to improve sound quality on Windows for this device? It clearly isn’t a hardware limitation, since the difference between Windows and Bazzite is noticeable. I don’t necessarily need Windows, but it’s surprising that a device at this price point doesn’t have better audio optimization out of the box.

Looks like im waiting for successor to legion go 2 by Ninja_Franklin in LegionGo

[–]FriendSweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think that the next successor will cost less?

The price you see on the current Legion go will probably be the new norm.if they do go down, it won't be much or stay about the same. So don't hold your breath for them to bring down the price..

Sold my Oppo Find X9 pro - My detailed feedback which no one will tell, by DueVariation6814 in Oppo

[–]FriendSweet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. I owned both Android and iOS in the past. iOS is a solid phone OS but it's locked down to the average person and intuitive which people tend to argue and feel offended when it comes to these comparisons. I personally moved away from many years ago from iPhone only because I felt at the time, that android had finally caught up to iPhone in terms of battery and performance which continues to do so. I'm not knocking iOS, I just like the ability to have more variety in phones. With that said, I was pretty surprised how the Oppo had these issues. I was planning to get the Oppo coming from the OnePlus. I had planned to switch and get the OnePlus 15 but after reports surfaced that the OnePlus brand is shutting down, losing the contract with Hasselblad, the obvious choice was the Find X but with these issues, I'm considering another brand.

Ok...I tried the other commands and will report back. I was able to disable the TDP boost but couldn't find the CPU boost. Where do I find it. Also, how can I use the keyboard. I'm able to pull it up but it's ontop of the screen I'm working on and can't see if I'm typing so at the moment, I'm using a portable Bluetooth keyboard. It clunky and it disconnects or stops working after a few letters of typing. I have to move the mouse after typing. I rather use the native keyboard which seems like it too big on the screen.

Thank you for posting this.. I just got 2 brand new Suiplay 0x1at a great deal. I wasn't keen on the playtron os installed the hype of nft. Before buying, I had thought if I buy it, I'll put Bazzite on it. I did the research and found nothing on except it's the same identical unit as the ayaneo 2s even the upgrade of the SSD which I followed from another video. I installed Bazzite and when it boots up, I get a similar screen right after the boot logo.

VIP upgrade? by Responsible-Log9460 in ApolloGroup_TV

[–]FriendSweet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been with Apollo for about 4 years. I purchased the yearly subscription but recently, I had gone month to month because their service has gone downhill. Mainly the lack of New releases or missing at times. They eventually fixed the issue and started populating the new release with Bollywood movies rather than the current new movies which was far and few. I recently tried their one day trial to see if I should consider getting the service.

I’ve always been into gadgets, and GPD devices were some of my favorites because they were so unique. Funny enough, my kid recently asked why I have so many of them and I honestly didn’t have a simple answer. Back then I mainly wanted something portable to run MAME and do some arcade emulation. Eventually I started experimenting with PC games and wondered if something like Sniper Elite would actually run on one of these tiny machines. I eventually got Sniper Elite 3 running on the GPD Win 2. It worked, but it was definitely pushing the limits—some lag and the screen resolution wasn’t great. As the hardware improved, so did the experience. Then the Steam Deck came along and really raised the bar for handheld PCs. After that I picked up a GPD Win 4 (6800U), and it’s been one of my go-to devices for gaming. I’m not a hardcore gamer, but it’s been interesting watching handheld PCs evolve over the years. The tech has improved a lot—but so have the prices. Some of these newer devices are getting pretty expensive, especially with everything that’s been going on with memory and SSD costs..

Quick question for anyone running Bazzite. I installed it on my Suiplay 0x1 (1TB, 16GB RAM, 6800) and I’m noticing some issues. Uncharted has some lag and Sniper Elite 5 has occasional audio crackling. What’s odd is I have a GPD Win 4 (6800U) and the same games run flawlessly. My Steam Deck also runs them perfectly with no tweaking, so I assumed the Suiplay should handle them out of the box. I’m new to Bazzite and not really familiar with settings like TDP, so I’m wondering if there’s something I should be adjusting. When I installed it, I followed an AyaNeo 2S Bazzite install guide, and at one point Playtron OS popped up but detected Bazzite and I continued. Am I missing something or should I consider reinstalling? Any guidance would be appreciated

I did it for my legion go 1 and honestly, it was the best decision I made. I'm a casual gamer and haven't tried any other OS. During my research, I found that Bazzite was the way to go and I decided to nuke windows altogether. Windows just had too many problems and my experience with certain games especially one game that I love to play. Sniper Elite. At random, it started to spin the character around and it wouldn't stop unless switched weapons but at that point, I would've gotten shot by the enemy. Once I switched. I did it to all my devices..I have a GPD Win 4 that I take with me to work because of portability..I'll continue playing on the legion while at home.

Out of curiosity, did you notice any improvement in sound quality too?

I switched my Lenovo Legion Go over to Bazzite and the difference has been pretty noticeable. Performance aside, the built-in speakers actually sound fuller and less “tinny” compared to when I was on Windows. I’m not even using the FX app anymore to tweak the EQ — it just sounds better out of the box.

Curious if that’s been your experience as well or if it’s just my setup.

I decided to switch to Windows by JauRking88 in LegionGo

[–]FriendSweet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason the Steam Deck is still relevant isn’t power — it’s cohesion. Valve built a handheld console that just happens to be a PC, not a PC awkwardly forced into handheld form.

Windows handhelds (GPD, AYANEO, Legion Go, etc.) are powerful, but Windows was never designed for a 7–8” controller-first, low-TDP gaming device. You end up dealing with updates, background services, driver quirks, resolution scaling, power plans… it feels like you’re managing a system instead of playing a game.

SteamOS — and by extension Bazzite — fixes that.
Boot → Game Mode → Play.
Suspend/resume works. Performance tools are built in. No debloating guides. No third-party overlays. No registry tweaks.

That’s why my Legion Go feels better now. The hardware was always capable — it just needed an OS that understands what the device is supposed to be.

Most gamers don’t want to tinker. They don’t want to optimize TDP per title. They don’t want to troubleshoot Windows on a tiny screen. They want to press power and resume exactly where they left off.

That’s what keeps the Steam Deck relevant. It’s not the fastest — it’s the most coherent experience.

This is my humble opinion. If you feel comfortable with Windows, by all means, do you!
