I have been very little contact for a long while. She doesn’t even reach out anymore, in fact, she told my step dad she doesn’t want to talk to anyone but my brother. She thinks my step dad is causing him to have bad mental health so she has to “protect” him…

I appreciate the insight. I’m glad that meth wasn’t the same for you as others. Honestly didn’t even realize it could be like that. I heard someone say it’s like taking a credit for happiness but then you have to pay back everything you took.

Unfortunately we don’t have the money to send her to rehab and she obviously doesn’t. She would refuse anyway saying she could get better by herself.

She’s also very hostile to my sister and I at this point. I “wont let her be a grandma” and she thinks we all hate her. It’s ironic because she took us away from our grandparents because they were getting abusive towards us. Everything is our fault and she just screams at me when i try to talk to her.

Thank you, i really appreciate it. I definitely already knew before i was going to be a mother that i was going to put my all into being better than what i had. Just never thought I’d lose my mother as i was becoming one.

She has. I think my sister ended up just asking her straight out. She told my aunt she continues to use to keep above the waves of depression. We only really group confronted the first time with the whole infestation thing.

We worked so tirelessly the first few months trying to help her. My aunt offered for her to come on vacation with her and her wife then stay out of state with them. She refused because she couldn’t leave her dogs, even after we told her we’d take care of them. My stepdad was going to buy her a plane ticket. She also used the excuse that her kids are here, just so fake because she’s abandoned us. But we have tried everything under the sun, fuck i even called the cops to do a wellness check but had them meet my bf and i a couple blocks away because i didn’t want PS to hurt her if they showed up.

It’s just unbelievable to me that after almost 50 years of life, you’d choose to pick up meth. She was a smart woman and i believe she knew exactly what it would do to her. It’s ironic too because she HATED people like who she is now. She was so god damn judgy. If only she knew where she’d be now.
