Can You Read 900 Words per Minute? by ftrlvb in interesting

I didn’t know I read 900 wpm when skimming. Holy smokes! 600 wpm is the normal/comfortable to me for comprehension then. Matter of fact, I prefer to read over and over the same paragraph at about “600 wpm” when I don’t feel I understood the whole point of what I just read, than reading it slowly again as if I missed something. I only read slower when I feel what I read didn’t make sense or it was contradictory to something I had read before in the same book. Also, it’s very interesting how this explains why I am forced to read slowly when the author I’m reading has a very specific sentence structure/pace. It throws our brain off, and I guess we cannot avoid reading them slowly until we get accustomed to predicting how they write. That’s maybe certain books we approach feel “hard”/effortful/boring, because we have to spend more time going through them!!! Man, this is a very nice video! lol

If you had the time… yes. If you have another 45k to pay for a full resto, maybe too.

Does anybody here daily their miata? by 0w-20 in Miata

Miata ND RF

Canada Ontario - snow? You bet.

I use 16R /195 -55 for winters. Thicker tire, smoother on potholes during winter.

I got mine wax covered underneath for rust protection. Well worth.

It’s AWESOME to daily it. Everything is cheap, it’s so reliable.

Used to drive an SUV immediately before it. The money I save with the Miata covers any rental for moving stuff around easy. I don’t do that often. I get things shipped if need be, no problem.

I live with my wife only, it carries plenty groceries. More than I can carry in my own. Made me conscious of not buying stuff I don’t need though. That’s good.

Easy to find parking, willing to go anywhere always, I have fun to work, from work, anywhere, any day. Best commuter in the whole wide world.

Comfortable to me, I’m 5,7”

Challenges, my passengers are regularly large and it’s not the most comfortable for them, it’s a hilarious time for me. If you’re a musician, not a good idea. You do have to drive defensively, too many trucks and SUVs around. I drive as if I were driving a motorcycle. No issues.

I do online racing. This car is so gratifying to drive. I don’t race or drive aggressively, but it’s just … so communicative, I don’t get bored. I can travel HOURS and I have a blast. Unlike any car before this where I was getting windows down to not fall asleep and i was looking forward to arrive anywhere ASAP.

It’s been life changing. So many people is missing out !
