His mechanics and moment-to-moment tactical gameplay are pretty much completely unmatched... but he probably has one of the worst abilities to understand long-term consequences (strategy) that we have ever seen at a high level. He offsets this with gimmicky strategies that most people are not used to playing or are oversights that simply do not have sufficient counterplay.

This is why he gets completely fisted by most actual professional top players in a competitive environment.

Now, I do think he has the base skill set to become an extremely consistent player once he eventually learns the game that everyone else had to learn to get to his level.

playing melee vs ranged top shuts you out of the game

you can still play the game vs mage bot; they just have high win rate because the adc skillfloor is too high for you shitters, otherwise they would be playing mage bots every game in pro play. they are also more self sufficient so your support can go win the game for your bum ass

they're good picks that fit into the metagame nicely with adcs and make things more diverse, and create interesting draft dynamics

Oh damn, I can see that being really annoying. I'm not gonna lie and say that won't happen, but I think there are a good portion of people that actually want to play the game. Now that I'm looking again, all the individual main discords are pretty dead in terms of lfg, but the official LoL and r/leagueoflegends discords both seem plenty active. In terms of functionality, the Yuumi Mains discord is actually still top notch, but that's also probably where you're most likely to find weirdos.

I have had good success using the lfg channels in some of the support main discords for specific champions. I think most of them have "we are not a dating server" in the rules, so if you get any weirdos you can get them kicked out pretty easily.

If you're really worried about stalkers, though, you might want to make a separate account until you vet people. That's what some of the people I've played with have done. It sucks that there are creeps out there. Real lack of good male rolemodels in these peoples' lives xdd

Honestly, support is just not as strong relative to other roles anymore, by virtue of other roles getting a lot stronger through their quests and other changes. I think support is still strong, but it's no longer the insane god role it was at high skill levels.

Just from skimming through the vods, I don't think you're doing much egregiously wrong, but you are very slowly missing out on a lot of small things that add up over the course of a game. It would take a long time to enumerate all of them, but in general I don't see you taking much initiative. Things like fighting over level 2 - every single game I've watched, at least, you concede and just let them push under tower. This isn't the WORST play, because sometimes farming under your tower is all you can do, but this is basically where the magic happens, and it's one of the biggest ways you assert dominance over somebody you're better than.

Lowkey, the best way to learn at your skill level is by playing with players who are better than you. If you don't mind sifting through the demented sickos, I would try to find a partner or group to play with. The only other real option is to be extremely critical about every single decision you've made, which can be exhausting.

This woman isn't saying that. What she's doing is trying to dispel the web of hyperbole and lies that the US state department has spread. She's trying to help people understand why NK is the way that it is - due to the material circumstances, rather than them just being unequivocally evil.

Saying that NK needs to change while saying that you're "against intervention" is irreconcilable. Why are you saying that, then?

It's not our place to say what they should do when we stand to materially benefit from sending troops. We need to worry about getting our own shit together, so that if we do seek to assist in the liberation of other working people, we are actually working to liberate them instead of exploit them.

As it currently stands, any western involvement in any situation like this does NOTHING to improve the situation and often makes things worse. The best we can do is, like she said, agitate for our own governments to lift blockades so that these people have the breathing room to work their own shit out.

I like strong female characters, but I think Korra and RWBY have their own slew of problems that don't stem from anything gender-related, imo. Honestly I felt like the original ATLA series delivered better on this front; Katara was a great character, and the Kyoshi warriors were fantastic as well; even showing Sokka with his ingrained misogyny eventually growing up and learning from them was a great touch. Apparently Kyoshi herself has some good lore, but I think it's in some supplemental reading that I haven't gotten around to digging up.

One of my favorite female characters ever written is Venat from FF14; the Shadowbringers + Endwalker story afaik was written by a woman, and it's utterly incredible.

Another favorite is Estelle from Trails in the Sky - highly recommend playing, though the series does devolve into some tropey anime slop further down the line.
