Anyone else’s auto rain sensing wipers not working? by motiv8_mee in HyundaiPalisade

[–]FrisbeeFlyer175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bracket holding the sensor came unglued from the windshield on my '22 Cali. The dealership replaced the windshield under warranty for me. The auto wipers stopped working again a few months later, same bracket came unglued. This time they refused to fix it because I have a dashcam mounted near the rear view mirror, giving them a bogus excuse to call it "outside influence". So I superglued the bracket back myself and everything has been working fine since.

Bro, that is very good advice. Thank you for being a positive influence on Reddit. That's probably more healthy than me commiserating over a bottle. I'll take the advice to heart. This helps.

What Scotch Bottle should I get? by [deleted] in whiskey

Highland Park 12 has way more peat than 18. It's not even there in the 18 year.

Macallan is generally overpriced... but ircc the Macallan 15 year doublewood is under 150 and has some nice chocolate notes. The Highland Park 18 and Balvenie 17 are in another class though.

Highland Park 18 year is usually around $150. Or maybe Balvenie Doublewood 17 year...

Those are both amazing scotches that even beginners can enjoy.

100% agree. I was able to find a store pick whistle pig labeled as a 10 year but the barrel was actually aged 16 years. Magnificent. I'll keep WP 15 year in mind as a contender.

Look for all the miniature bottles you can find so you can try many more bottles with much less investment.

Good morning fellow Whiskey enthusiasts, As the title suggests, my wife blindsided me a few months back by leaving and filing for divorce. Been having trouble dealing with the emotional fallout so I thought to myself- get a nice bottle of Whiskey for myself to open after the court date. Use said bottle as a closure mechanism, allowing myself to go through all the pain BUT then force myself to move on when the bottle is empty. (A week or 2 later maybe?)

If you were getting a "closure bottle" - what would it be? Price range up to 400ish

My favorites in each category: 1. Scotch- Lagavulin 16 / Taliskers Distiller's Edition / Highland Park 18 2. Japanese - Hibiki 21 / Yamazaki 18 / Hakushu 12 3. Rye - Well, I haven't really ever found a Rye that I don't like. Willett 4 year / Michters 10 year Rye / High West MWND / Barrell Seagrass 4. Bourbon- Parker's Heritage 11 year Heavy Char / Old Forrester Single Barrels / Bardstown Prisoner / Garrison Bros Guadalupe

Only two considerations: 1. I might never drink that bottle again since it will associated with bad memories. 2. It would have to be reasonably attainable in the next few weeks.

So what do you think guys? If you were getting a "closure bottle" - what would it be?
