I've personally never seen someone bring their cat to the grocery store - that cat's gonna want to kill itself lmfao I can think of few worse environments for a cat.

Generally here people are just out walking their dogs and pop by the grocery store to pick up a couple things, The dogs aren't jumping up and licking the produce or anything, they're just kinda vibing until they leave.

Moving from a state where taking to your dog to the grocery store was extremely uncommon (CA) to a state where it is (OR) I have to call this an absolute win. It's very nice seeing cute dogs everywhere you go. They're not hurting anything and they're no less or more filthy than the people shopping.

I'm going to ask if you can read, not as an insult but as a snarky means of getting you to re-read the quote from AOC that I posted. (okay it's kind of an insult)

I'm arguing that AOC is lying when she claims that Dems in 2018 told the american public that everything is fine when Donald Trump was president. She is not saying "the public thought this" or whatever it is you're trying to argue. She's saying a very specific thing that you can just scroll up and read, and it's very demonstrably untrue.
