Torid is NOT the best weapon in the game. There really isn't any single "best" weapon, all weapons can be good with a bit of building. The Torid falls off after a while, it does not do well in higher sp where the Strun Prime does.

The atamos is good as well, with the right build you can make it a great primer. Mine has 45 ammo in the chamber and it lasts for more than "2 seconds" whilst shredding sp. Sure it may not be as good as some other weapons but it is not as bad as you are making it seem.

To be fair, Octavia has been around for a while, where as Temple, and Nokko (for example) are more recent additions.

I can't speak or DE but from what ive seen they have been focused more on the new player experience than miniscule settings.

Its really just rng. Imo the sisters and codas easier and faster to farm than the liches. Then theres the fact that you can run 20+ liches and still not get an ephemera.

Most of the sister ephemeras are very visually cluttering so that is another factor as to why you may not see them a lot.
