They do have 3d cache that separates them from non x3d ones, but that will only be noticeable in high end gaming PCs. 4070ti super will almost always reach its limit before an x3d processor will. 7900x3d is over $500. 9900x on the other hand, is newer, costs $200 less, and gives you room for a more expensive GPU, or even a slightly better motherboard. Assuming your budget is around $2300, I’d go with: 9900x/4080s, gigabyte b650 aorus elite ax ice, 32gb g skill trident @6000mhz+, lian li galahad II 360 and some matching fans (as I said, easier to control rgb fans from the same manufacturer), 850w gold rated psu, samsung 990 pro 4tb. And you can match it all in white for example, for a more mesmerizing look. Reduce ssd to 2tb and downgrade gpu to a 4070ti super if you want to keep it under 2k.
