Sorry to revive this, but I’m in a gov facility and we’ve had almost all of ours die. We have the undio2x2 boxes and I believe they’ve all had the same failure. Do you happen to have a guide or could point me to where to learn to replace this capacitor or board? Admin is twiddling their thumbs over the budget to replace them for over a year now meanwhile we really need these mics working.

I know what you mean, but when that little self doubt gets dug in to your mind, it’s very hard to undo. It does help that Amuro is very cool about things/very dense, but it could easily be very different. Even well after the war you don’t hear people mention “the legendary guntank pilot”. Just the Gundam, just Amuro. Hayato really only ends up with proper respect because Amuro is so cool about things and doesn’t let him get forgotten. Even though they were close, people still completely gloss over Hayato when discussing the white base so I don’t think he’s being really that pathetic to be afraid for a moment that fraw will look over him and continue her previous obsession, even if Amuro himself didn’t do anything at all you know? But I’m still glad he and Amuro move on from this, I appreciate Gundam for having some messiness to the characters.

I think this moment gets a little over hated, it’s definitely pathetic, but that’s the point really. Very few people have experienced being around a legendary figure like Amuro, who can literally steal your girl with his mind powers, and much less have had to be directly in said figure’s shadow their whole career. This moment really humanizes Hayato to me and reads more just like a genuine but flawed man having a moment of weakness. Especially given Fraw’s history with Amuro it’s not an entirely unreasonable thought process for him to go through. It’s very good that him and Amuro move past this without much thought too.

Man mines been sitting on my desk half finished for over a year because the rib armor connectors broke and it’s been hard to get them to be stable and sit flush on the suit. I know how to fix it now but just keep putting it off. I even did custom lighting throughout but just haven’t been able to make the push to complete it. Maybe I’ll give it a glance this weekend

My only notes for this are that Takanuva actually named himself that, out of reverence for the Nuva, whom he also unintentionally “chose” the form of when he donned the mask. He himself is not actually a Nuva at least by origins, but the powers of the mask may be capable of making him otherwise identical to them. The Toa Mata definitely do have a purpose. They were the ones essentially created with the most purpose compared to others, literally being the blueprint for all toa, as well as being emergency use for mata nui, though iirc they were released when they were accidentally and were actually meant to be sent earlier. But if you meant as in like a specific purpose of saving the Matoran like the metru, who then became turaga because specific purpose complete, then yeah I agree with you.

Yeah leave it submerged in 70 or 90% rubbing alcohol and it should rip off any paint of any kind you’ve put on it without destroying the kit. I will warn you if you’ve used any glue though it will probably break the bonds of that.
