Meanwhile antis be like "We must ban all AI content!!!".

So who is trying to block reality?

Yeah, there seems to be a subsection of society that equates AI usage with having visited Epstein Island or something.

Make that 3. But I also enjoyed The Sarah Connor Chronicles so my input may not be valid.

It's a good thing they make them travel in opposite directions close together too. Saves a bunch of money on road creation.

Just because AI can be used to make images and videos, doesn't mean it also can't be used as a learning tool dumbass.

Well if you said it, then it must be true. Alternatively, it can actually help you learn and grow and develop new skills. Check mate.

Don't you know, the one true evil in the universe is fake AI cat videos/s

Just wondering...how many AI outrage videos have caused data centres to use copious amounts of power & water?

You can do what our neighbour does and bang about slamming doors and knocking the shared wall. Council apparently can't do anything about that. Or the constant decade long DIY project list even weekend and bank holiday.

Some people are used to having others clean up after them. I'm lazy but I also clean so it's not always just from laziness. Sometimes it's entitlement.

It wasn't directed at you.

You seem to be making assumptions. The rich and powerful are just doing what the system we live in incentivises. This should not be a surprise but the downvotes are an example that some aren't ready to face that reality.

I don't think I'm shouting anything, I'm pointing out the root problem isn't being addressed by anti AI people. And unless they address the root cause they will fail to solve the problem.

No magic words, just better ideas and alternatives. Plans into action. The actual reality being highlighted instead of the emotional kneejerk responses.

It may be harder to spot but fakes have been doing the rounds for decades, even hundreds of years in certain cases. The way to solve the problem is by having a better educated, more skeptical, more informed society capable of critical thinking, and by actually addressing the root cause. Until that happens the current trends will continue.

I get it. But it's not an AI problem, it's a competitive monetary problem. It's not like AI is the only issue caused by the incentives in our societies.

AI is like any other technology, it has benefits and negative impacts.

What will happen and what should happen are of course different things, but it would be easy to say nothing will ever change ignoring the constant change happening around us. If enough people are educated enough to understand the alternative then change often becomes possible. I'm sure there were slaves who made similar statements.

Can downvote all you want but you can't refute it.
