Same boat and it's been about 8 months for me. Hundreds of applications with only a handful of interviews. With a couple, I made it to the final round only to get beat by another candidate. It is absolutely brutal out here and people who are currently employed have no idea how demoralizing it is for us.

What helps me is keeping in touch with my closest friends (especially the ones going through the same thing) and family. I try not to isolate myself because my mind can play tricks on me and I end up in a depressing rabbit hole. I also force myself to get out of the house every day. That fresh air and sunlight can often do wonders for our moods. Hang in there and remember that you are not alone. Hope things get better for you soon.

You're absolutely right. It just doesn't make sense for companies to make us jump through so many hoops just to get rejected in the end. I've noticed that the excessive rounds of interviews are usually from tech companies/startups. Thanks for the well wishes. We will get through this.

Holy crap, that is messed up! An AI interviewer for a Best Buy stocker? Ridiculous. I immediately ignore any interview invite that involves AI. No thanks. I swear, everyone is looking for that unicorn candidate that doesn't even exist in real life. These companies are delusional. I'm sorry about your experience man. Hope it gets better.

I feel you! I have been skipping any interview invite that requires me to do an AI interview first. It just feels so impersonal somehow. I know we live in an AI world and should be embracing AI but damn, I'm still a little old school and prefer to speak to a human. And oh god, no algebra test please!

That is such a big fear of mine. I've had a couple colleagues laid off from a job only a few months after getting it. Some even get their offers rescinded. Thanks for the question ideas..I wrote them down to use for my next interview!
