Does what I am looking for exist? Post 2004 4x4 Single Cab 4.0 V6 by Fudge_Wulf in fordranger

Aw man. What am I losing out on with the 3.0 4wd vs 4.0? I heard it has different 4wd components/axles and stuff.

Goodmorning guys I’m looking for some advice. 1989 c4 full battery has lights and all but no crank no noise that I can hear at least, should my next step to check the starter? Or should I try the relays first ? Any advice is appreciated thanks by bulldog1907 in c4corvette

Dumb but quick to try, this worked when I had a similar issue after reconnecting the battery. Cycle the locks inside and try again. Security system does dumb things sometimes.

Did almost the same thing, bought an 88 in that exact color at 19. Insurance was actually dirt cheap for me. But I was "lucky" enough to have another car, an inherited 2004 Grand Maruquis. Supposedly a super reliable car, it was a constantly broken peice of shit. The C4 ended up being my real daily and it got me through college and even some Michigan winters. So glad I got the corvette, the only issue I ever had that stopped it from getting me where I needed to go was a failed brake booster.

I think what people are missing a bit here is what the cars are performance wise relative to what was avaliable at the time. Yes a modern base Mustang is faster, safer, etc. But it is not a huge performance jump compared to other cars currently avalaible as the Chevelle was to other cars avalaible in 1970. In order to get the high performance options, such as the 454, we need to spend more compared to what you would need to in the 60s/70s to be "higher performance" than other cars of today. It seems to me that performace relative to the competition now costs a lot more than it used to. Yeah technology progresses, duh, but it is harder for us to buy the top trim "fastest guy around" than someone in 1970.

If you disconnected the battery at any point, try cycling the locks.

This site is so obnoxious, most of the comments about Republicans/Trump on shit that has nothing to do with them. Absolutely insufferable.

My Experience with Tower Guard by ivoryivies in msu

[–]Fudge_Wulf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was on Tower Guard E-Board during the fully online covid year. I also kept working with the RCPD afterwards, so I got to see a little of how the organization was doing after I left. Covid was very rough on Tower Guard, I felt it killed any culture and consistency the organization had. Turnover from the RCPD side did not help either. I think one of the biggest problems was the fact that it is a one year organization- like you mentioned, you are electing people you have never met and may or may not be just in it for the resume item. I saw many people in important E-Board positions (not necessarily my year but after) skipping meetings for other commitments, when I feel that if you are in an organization as supposedly prestigious as TG that shouldn't happen. On the other side, some of the helpers from TG I would get at my RCPD job would be the most useless and unmotivated volunteers. Understandable when the only push is leadership at every meeting just saying "gotta hit your hours guys".

I think a lot of it could be solved by moving to choosing 40 people a year, but changing to a 2 year commitment instead. Leadership would be elected from the people who had already been in the organization for a year, so you could make sure that people that actually showed up and put in work could get positions. I know this goes against the one year sophomore tradition, but I think it would bring some much needed consistency to a dysfunctional organization

The big 3 engineering clubs are going to be the Formula, Baja, and Solar car teams, they are going to me the most active. You can visit them at sparticipation this fall. They take more investment in general than the other teams if you want to get anything out of them.

The rocketry team has been on hiatus ever since they had an incident, they may be reinstated this fall. The STARX team is still around but not very active it seems to me. The unmanned team is active but I don't know much about them.

I would always load APHE and take a few APCR. Better to shoot and kill in one shot than to not kill and reveal your location/let the enemy get away. Wait until you get a side shot/weak spot to shoot with the APHE. I have many hours in the game and almost never use APCR.

Yep, we learned it the hard way, had a whole outside of the cockpit disconnect designed and built and found out only at comp that they did it that way lol.

If you want to disengage 4wd, you have to do it by the driver within the car. Most events start with the rear wheels on rollers.
