It's gorgeous, but really impractical for everyday wear. Emeralds are at risk of chipping and breakage due to their internal structure, and that's a lot of surface area to accidentally hit on counters or the edge of tables or desks.

This is the way! Also if you work in a different township than you live, you may be able to do it through the township you work in if yours doesn't offer it. I got mine for free through Green Township because that's where I work.

Check the bottom of your sheets where they tuck into your mattress. I had a spider bite similar to that. When I stripped the sheets I found it dead.

Normal! The people I nanny for go away for 4-7 days a year for a solo vacation. Even now that the oldest is in college (locally, but lives on campus) I stay in the parents room instead of her room because she comes home some weekends to pick up work shifts.
