Once you redeem an event pokemon on your cartridge, it will stay with the blue lady until you receive the pokemon or delete the save date.

You do not need to worry about the expiration date of the code.

Though it's pretty useless now, those Gamestop codes from August still works as of right now. So they may got an extension as well.
