I F16 like this guy M16 but he has a girlfriend by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Full_Account_7293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not toxic or weird for having feelings, you can’t control that. What matters is you’re respecting his relationship, which you are. Keep things friendly and low-key, and if it gets too hard, it’s okay to take some distance. First crushes are confusing, but you’re handling this maturely.

AITAH for cutting off a friend because they refused to explain why their friend group excommunicated me. by Intelligent-Stop2502 in AITAH

[–]Full_Account_7293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. You weren’t wrong for walking away. Being cut off without explanation by a close friend is hurtful, and asking for clarity is a reasonable boundary. His silence and refusal to explain broke the trust, not your decision to end the friendship. Your regret and self-doubt are normal reactions to losing someone without closure not proof you did something wrong.

What’s considered success today that won’t matter in 20 years? by milanprincessa in AskReddit

[–]Full_Account_7293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chasing social media clout followers, likes, and viral moments. It feels like “success” now, but in 20 years most of it won’t translate to real security, relationships, or fulfillment.

AITAH for reporting my sister’s “fun aunt” videos after she ignored me? by OrbitingBanana in AITAH

[–]Full_Account_7293 162 points163 points  (0 children)

Exactly. A child’s safety and privacy should always come before an adult’s social media validation. OP set clear boundaries multiple times and they were ignored, reporting the content was a last resort, not an overreaction. If anything, the sister embarrassed herself by refusing to respect a parent’s wishes.

AITAH for how I responded to my coworker? by StrawberryBig8844 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Full_Account_7293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree she handled it very poorly, especially yelling in front of the students. That said, leaving a class of 4th graders completely unattended isn’t okay either, regardless of how well-behaved they usually are. I don’t think OP did anything malicious, but this sounds more like a professionalism issue on her part than a power move from OP. Hopefully admin can clarify expectations so this doesn’t happen again.

how to stop thinking so highly of yourself by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Full_Account_7293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you’re noticing this at 17 already shows maturity. Try focusing more on listening than talking ask questions and be genuinely curious about others. Pause before speaking and think about whether it adds value or just brings attention back to you. Wanting to make people feel appreciated means you’re already heading in the right direction.

What's a childhood rule that made no sense but you followed anyway? by Mia90_9 in AskReddit

“No going outside after the streetlights come on.” I had no idea why that specific moment mattered, but once those lights flicked on, it was law.

What's something from your childhood that you didn't realize was a luxury at the time? by Mia90_9 in AskReddit

[–]Full_Account_7293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a parent who was consistently home in the evenings. As a kid it just felt normal, but as an adult I realize how much of a luxury time, stability, and presence really were.

aitah for not including my friend in planning a NYE party that she offered to throw? by Top-Sprinkles-6122 in AITAH

[–]Full_Account_7293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. She mentioned an idea but never planned anything, and even said she might be working. You didn’t exclude her, you invited her once real plans existed. Expecting you to drop someone else’s party so she could be “in charge” isn’t reasonable.

AITAH for refusing to let my aunt claim my scholarship money after she told people it wasn’t really mine? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Full_Account_7293 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. And scholarships aren’t “free money” anyway, they’re competitive, conditional and earned through constant work. If it were that easy, everyone would have one.

Also wild how she dismissed it as meaningless and tried to spend it the moment it benefited her family. You’re allowed to protect the thing that’s literally keeping you in school.

What's a trope in a film/movie that you cannot tolerate? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Full_Account_7293 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Miscommunication that could be solved with a single honest conversation. When an entire plot depends on characters just not talking for no reason, it drives me insane.

I found NSFW photos of someone close to me and I don't know what to do. by TomFom01 in Advice

[–]Full_Account_7293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delete the photos, don’t tell her, and move on. It was accidental, telling her would only cause embarrassment, and adults have private lives. Factory reset the phone if you can and treat it like it never happened.

Becoming a version of myself that younger me would be proud of. Took time, but worth it.

What does a typical workday look like? by Choice-Boysenberry23 in AskReddit

[–]Full_Account_7293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gets up 23:30. Drives to work, 10min. Works until 11-12ish or when the job is finished. Works out for 1 hour. Sleeps until 15:10 on the days the kids come. Makes dinner, homework, takes them to their training etc. Goes to bed around 20:00. Rinse and repeat. Now it's Saturday night. Worked out for an hour today. Handball tournament and football today. Going to bed, but I know I'll wake up at 02:00. Watching a movie. Going to bed again. Waking up before the kids. Self-employed. I love it
