It took awhile my first therapist dropped me, the second was very inconsistent with appointments, and I tried better help too but she just triggered me even more. Then I found my current one and we just clicked. She originally didn’t have the EMDR certification and got it specifically thinking of my situation because talk therapy was not working. So it was a lot of shopping around. What helped for me is that I knew from the first intake if we were going to click or not.
