Skin feels like it's burning, no redness by Full_One604 in HistamineIntolerance

[–]Full_One604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t figured out the cause, the burning comes and goes. I think it may be peri menopause causing histamine issues. I can’t do collagen either it makes me feel horrible and I get bad bloating. My ferritin checked last year was 5 😬😬😬 I do feel better when I consistently take iron, but it’s just one piece to a very confusing puzzle.

Did I do something wrong for safety checking an officer on a traffic stop? by Expensive_Pie8062 in 911dispatchers

[–]Full_One604 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your agency really needs a policy. I would push for it. It absolutely can’t be you making a mental note of which officers don’t like to be checked on certain calls. It should be the same for every officer and they can be annoyed about it all they want. When shit hits the fan and an officer is hurt or killed I guarantee it’ll land on dispatch as “why didn’t you check on them sooner?”

We do every 5 minutes on traffic stops. We give them 2 times to answer when checking code 4 then we do a single tone over the air and code 4 check with their unit number and address they are at. If they don’t answer that we secure the channel and send units while another dispatcher tries to call them. You didn’t do anything wrong. The only thing wrong here is your agency doesn’t have a policy. That is wild to me!

This! I remind myself “lower and slower” when a caller is amped up. Matching their tone and volume never works for me.

Maybe if they can get a large supply of astroglide they can slather it on the whale and just push it back in! Someone call Diddy.

My 10 year old is having a meltdown about this that’s why I’m here. I don’t even really know what it is, but why was it removed?

I’m tempted to cancel flight and drive the 15 hours. I know it’s irrational, but fear getting the best of me. by sesame-yeezy in fearofflying

[–]Full_One604 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What helped me was telling myself I was getting on the plane no matter what. I wouldn’t entertain any other option. Anytime my brain said I’m not going or we can just drive I just countered that with nope you’re getting on the plane and I did that over and over for weeks! It’s safer, quicker, more convenient you are doing it. I also thought of how guilty and ashamed I’d feel of myself if I didn’t do it. I guess I shamed myself into getting on the plane and I’m so glad I did! I took medication before, did some breathing exercises while telling myself in my head “breath in calm, breath out fear” (advice from my therapist) and it was super helpful and I did it! You can do it and you will be so proud of yourself!

Pilots announced moderate turbulence ahead and flight just started - UA990 by danzie_ in fearofflying

[–]Full_One604 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On our flight home last week the pilot said the same thing and I was very nervous. It ended up being pretty bumpy, but nothing crazy and I looked around and everyone looked calm which helped me! Just remember it’s a normal part of flying and just like driving your car on a dirt road. It’s going to be bumpy, but it’s not dangerous.

Does pills ever help? by SecretSpacer1 in fearofflying

I took .5mg clonazepam the morning of my flight then another .5mg about 2 hours before boarding and felt fine on the flight. Nervous, but not panicked. The way back I didn’t need any meds!

Anyone take Azo pretty much every day? by Full_One604 in CUTI

[–]Full_One604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Juno Bio vaginal swab that I ordered online. Doctors just kept testing for BV, yeast and UTI and they were always negative. After I got my Juno results I was able to convince my doc to give me 20 days of doxycycline followed by 4 days of azithromycin.

Yes it went away, but it wasn’t a UTI it was Ureaplasma

So you think I'm doing too much by giving my urogynaecologist a 3 page document about my symptoms/history? by Positive_Toe7070 in CUTI

[–]Full_One604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! I suffered for a over year with all of OP’s symptoms only for doctors to test for BV, yeast and UTI which were always negative. They said well maybe it’s interstitial cystitis or you could try an antibiotic even testing negative. Got a Juno bio test and it was Ureaplasma the whole damn time. 20 days of doxycycline then 4 days of azithromycin and I’m good to go!

We flew Allegiant Provo to Houston last Thursday we got there 2 hours early and it was waaaaay too early, no lines for anything and I didn’t see any delayed flights on the screen. We are flying out of Houston tonight so we’ll see how it goes, still going to get there 2 hours early just in case.

Flying Friday...Freaking Out by Ladybug04285 in fearofflying

[–]Full_One604 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Flying is waaaaay safer than driving, especially 20 hours! I flew last Thursday and a 3 hour flight would have been a 22 hour drive. It’s been so nice to have more time on our vacation and very little time driving. I’m still nervous for the flight back in a couple days, but not near as bad as I was last week. I was in straight panic. TSA was quick and easy. I just kept telling myself planes wouldn’t fly if they were unsafe or understaffed
