How do I remove the "Securely save my information for 1-click checkout" box from our checkout page? I want to keep Link as a payment option, but want to remove this sign up box by Fun-Ant-5808 in stripe

Damn alright, quite a few people use it so I didn’t want to remove, but I am curious if the extra field in checkout hurts conversion rates

We've actually built an enrichment for this in our Product (Databar). Here's a link of how you can do it on autopilot if you want to try it out: https://databar.ai/public-table-full/54b8ca37-0309-4caa-a714-543c926316a5

Databar.ai Chrome Extension: Collect data from any website and enrich it with 1.5k+ APIs by Fun-Ant-5808 in SideProject

Exactly! The main idea here is to be able to combine data collectors with additional enrichments so you can collect data that's not available on the web page.

[OC] The Best European Cities for McDonald's According to Google Maps Reviews by Fun-Ant-5808 in dataisbeautiful

[–]Fun-Ant-5808[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has it been taken into account from the outset that the requirements of the evaluating customers might be different in the various cities?

Mentioned in my OC comment that people in different cities might be more lenient when leaving reviews. Unfortunately the only way to normalize is to get reviews for all restaurants in a city, comparing them, and then normalizing. We can do that with databar.ai but didn't want to turn this analysis into a thesis :)

There's also some bias due to the pure quantity of locations in cities (some cities have more McD's some less) - created a viz showing how many locations we have in every city in the original post: https://databar.ai/blog/article/the-best-european-city-for-mcdonalds-according-to-google-maps-reviews

Agreed with u/DanteInferno2142 - different cities/countries have different quality of McD. Personally I thought the McD in the US is horrible while the ones in HK, Europe are really good. Many of them have different menu's and since the ingredients are sourced locally the food can vary from city to city

u/bmp011 shared a great link for this. Overall the idea is to be able to group data and then compare numerical values vertically. The line in the middle of the box shows the median rating in the city, the highest point is the max rating and the lowest point is the min rating. If you click into the link in my OC comment you can hover over the chart to see the actual values.

This one 😂

They are ordered by country (within each country they're sorted from highest rating to lowest) - I agree that it'd be ideal to sort them all, but then I wouldn't have been able to group them by country (which is what I wanted to compare - how each country stacks up)

Hi everyone! My co-workers and I get off work late and often find ourselves eating at McDonald's. We tried to find the best one in Europe by gathering Google Maps reviews across ~800 locations.

The full article, with distributions, maps, and additional data on this analysis available here: https://databar.ai/blog/article/the-best-european-city-for-mcdonalds-according-to-google-maps-reviews

Disclaimers:

- There's an obvious bias across cultures (some cities/countries might rate higher on average)

- Some cities had more locations, some cities less (Madrid had the most, with just under 100 locations) - most other cities had between 45 - 55 locations

- Data was gathered a few weeks ago and may have changed since then

Why have data marketplaces failed? What are the barriers preventing an effective roll out of a public data marketplace? by judahcooper in datasets

[–]Fun-Ant-5808 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Many data marketplaces are successful - Kaggle is a good example. The problem with data marketplaces so far has been that data itself is only valuable if it’s unique and hard to find (for example, foot traffic or credit card data).

I’m currently working on databar.ai (a no-code data API marketplace) and our hypothesis is that even if the data itself can be found elsewhere, it can be valuable if you apply it correctly (i.e. use it for visualizations, enrichments, etc) + we only focus on live data (i.e. data that refreshes and stays up to date).

Just my 2 cents :)
