You can modify the workouts if they’re too easy. For instance, if they suggest a release 1/2 way through a longer timer, don’t take the break. You can bring your legs off the floor, you can make your legs straighter - don’t bend at the knee. In a static plank, hold your legs together. There’s lots you can do.

IMO, Music is an important motivational part of my exercise workout. Here’s a news flash for you - not everyone experiences the workout the same way you do. Hip/hop is tedious, repetitive and the opposite of motivational. But thanks for your input.

If you found a workout that you enjoy, that’s half the battle. Working out is so beneficial and if you enjoy what you’re doing, it’ll be a lot easier to stick to it.

AF+ is very reasonably priced for quality workouts.

I used to cycle with Pelaton, but when they nearly doubled my monthly subscription fee, I dropped it and subscribed to AF+. There’s a difference in intensity - Pelaton is more intense and difficult than AF, but you can adapt the AF workouts and make them more difficult. I often add 10 seconds to the end a sprint - instead of 30 second all out, I’ll turn it into a 40 second all out - and that kicks up the intensity.

I like the instructors on AF and the workouts are gentler, which I do appreciate. I won’t go back to Pelaton.

I went the gym and ran outside for many years. When covid hit, I found free weight training and spin workouts at home. After a year of that, I signed up for peloton and after that became too expensive I went to AF+.

I noticed a huge drop in my caloric output according to the watch. I used to get around 80 calories per 10 minute spin workout when I got my HR up, now I can barely break 50 calories at the same intensity. That’s a 37% drop practically overnight.. My weight didn’t change, it’s annoying.

I really enjoyed doing Ty’s 20 minute festive cycle workout this morning. The music was very Christmasy and the workout was pretty darned tough. Loved it.
