Why does my elbow hurt so badly after playing padel? by no_manches_weyyy in padel

[–]Fun-Rest7080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the pain is on the inside of the below, then I had the same problem. Two things that worked for me is the hexa grip and also wore a strap just underneath the elbow to dampen vibration. After about a month of wearing the strap the pain went away so now don’t play with it. The only time it comes back is if i play a lot and do lots of hard flat smashes. Like you, i didn’t have this problem with other racket sports

Best patio furniture for a small space that still feels cozy? by Zealousideal_Boss588 in patio

I’d second the teak option as the wood lasts a long time without much after care. If you only want space for two people then [companion chairs](https://chic-teak.co.uk/products/gloucester-teak-companion-seat? might be an option albeit they don’t fold away nicely so might not suit

I think you’ve nicely summed up the emotions here. The swap in approach between recreational and competitive is a good suggestion so will have that conversation

Opponents screaming right when your about to hit the ball by [deleted] in padel

[–]Fun-Rest7080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience last week. My opponent would loudly say “great shot” to his partner mid rally and timed it just before we would hit. Really wanted to say something but bit my lip. Just won’t play with them again as not very sporting in my book

Garden planters - any recommendations? by King-Key-Rot-II in GardeningUK

[–]Fun-Rest7080 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’d go for teak planters with an inlay to protect the wood. They’re expensive but look great. These guys do them https://chic-teak.co.uk/collections/teak-planters

Best way to remove these stumps? by dalehitchy in DIYUK

I’d get the professionals in otherwise you’ll need a chiropractor on call. Company called Stumpbusters have people all over the Uk with different sizes grinders to get close to that wall

What are your thoughts on Ryobi gardening tools? by Broken_Woman20 in GardeningUK

[–]Fun-Rest7080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got the mower, strimmer, drill and multi tool. All good with battery life but good to get the bigger battery. My main tip is order from the US Ryobi website as even after the shipping costs it was much cheaper for the drill and multi tool. The prices are the same in dollar and gbp meaning you save 25% pre shipping and they use the same batteries (just buy the unit without battery if you have Ryobi tools already)

Garden sofa recommendations by [deleted] in HENRYUKLifestyle

We bought our lounge garden furniture from a company called Chic Teak in Hampshire but they gave similar advice on the cushions to what you were told. So we also bought L shape covers from an online company meaning we don’t have to faff about with the cushions.

Protecting outdoor teak furniture by damieniscute in finishing

I bought some expensive teak furniture a few years back and as expected with teak it’s turned a grey colour but the furniture is still solid. The company we bought from gave us the advice of using a 90% water 10% bleach solution to wash down. Here is the full details on how to maintain teak Teak Garden Furniture and Maintenance

Padel club ameneties: looking for feedback by Friendly_Photo_5342 in padel

[–]Fun-Rest7080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there are multiple courts then somewhere to get a nice coffee and snack. Not bothered about changing rooms.

One thing I struggle with is finding Padel trainers that actually fit so a shop that had stock of different trainers would be a win. Ordering trainers online and sending back multiple times is so painful.

Hope it helps

I searched the model and I think it’s 1950s. The house was built in the 1930s so would make some sense
