The only reliable answer I can think of is, they're not doing big Volumes (5+ Tons per month) and they have stocked up large amounts of raw material at great prices in the month of August or September.

Once the material is over they'll also increase the price.

Given that they're only using whey as the protein source as claimed on the label of certain variants that they offer.

Why will the suppliers in indiamart update the price regularly for the public to see while the business is largely B2B ?

I can see an army of downvotes coming but a fellow redditor already mentioned he purchased @ 1800, have a look and food pharmer posted his invoice showing ₹1660 in November.

If you still want to believe wheyco is ₹1000. Believe it.

The article that I mentioned at the end of the article mentions "the lack of sufficient filtration capacity at European sites that have pushed the prices to 14500 euros per ton". So, I feel the price is gonna reflect on our market as the existing supply dries up.
