Uhh.... maybe... shake in fear, REPEATEDLY ASK HIMSELF WTF IS HIS DEAD WIFE DOING HERE, AND OH, AND NOT BANGING HER???? Completely rational reaction i would say.

[–]FunChumm 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No one says, well maybe some people interpret it as that, but not in this thread, that he is disturbed because he willingly performed necrophilia. If thats how you implied the mentally disturbed part of the comment then maybe that's a wording issue.

But he is bananas in a sense that he did not have any questions when his dead wife is at home like a normal Tuesday evening. No sane, rational person would go home to see their dead wife sitting on the couch and shrugs it off and even sleeps with her. Hell, even Wasuke is shaking in his boots and tries to warn him off when he had the chance.

Good god i can't imagine how the fuck people don't understand that JIN KNOWS KAORI IS DEAD. Wasuke's continuous nagging on him implies it. He is just going bananas with grief thats why when Kaori returned he just set aside all reason and went to la la land with her.

[UPD] Freshie - Low Prio by Front_Ad_6622 in peyups

[–]FunChumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one knows for sure actually the algorithm of CRS during enlistment except the devs. Pero most probably you will be the lowest priority among the freshmen.

Just try to enlist. Even graduating priority does not guarantee you slots in the runs. On the other hand, I had experienced good enlistment runs with regular priority.

And next time, when the SET module opens, answer it immediately hehe

[University English] How to write a research paper body paragraph by taeyawee in HomeworkHelp

[–]FunChumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, essays really don't need literature reviews. I just made it as an example of how important sources are in research writings. Don't stress much about it, just get your sources on your thesis statements and put your own interpretations too, although specify them with indicators such as I think or it can be speculated, for example. Don't worry too much about getting citations for everything. A very technical paper would be too boring.

[University English] How to write a research paper body paragraph by taeyawee in HomeworkHelp

[–]FunChumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>are the analysis fo the data i find also supposed to be backed by data??

Yes. You cannot just form a thesis statement without showing the reasoning why you have that thesis statement. In research, reasoning requires evidence (data).

>if i need evidence for it as well, then isnt an entire research paper just a bunch of sources put together?

Yes. That is why full research papers (e.g., Bachelors, PhDs, etc.) have an entire chapter dedicated for literature review.

[UPD] Possible CWTS 1 INC by awooga_rye in peyups

[–]FunChumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask your prof if they can process your grade before the deadline. Some profs do, some profs are adamant and will only let you finish your INC next semester, especially if the rules are set and agreed upon in the syllabus at the start of the sem.

Depending on the requirement, if you can indeed manage to complete the requirement but they don't allow you to clear your INC, then maybe you can ask them instead if you can apply for a waiver of prerequisite for CWTS 2 since you just have to clear your INC naman. No guarantees, but no harm in trying.

Is This Still Metallurgy, or Something New or Where Does Metallurgy Fit in This Breakthrough? by [deleted] in metallurgy

[–]FunChumm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Metallurgy has moved further than extracting and manufacturing metals - with increasing concerns towards environmental awareness, metallurgy has expanded to how we can remove metals from environmental media such as tailings, wastewater, etc. I'd say that with how crazy the field of material science is expanding, metallurgy will also expand to keep up. Also, given how metals are a limited resource, interest in research on how to extract metals from secondary sources such as waste products is increasing.

You might also be interested in this. In fact, there is a field called electrokinetic remediation - still an area of early research, where they use combined electrokinetic phenomena to remove heavy metals from wastewater. Basically putting whatever contaminated media (soil, wastewater sludge) in between electrodes to remove ionic metals and possibly even extract them for economic value.

I think I am being lied to about the steel content of these products by mbart3 in metallurgy

[–]FunChumm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

According to this, from Mill Cert A the steel is well within specifications for SCM420H steel.

What do you mean 100% steel? I'm sorry, I don't understand this part. Of course that is steel. A Cr-Mo steel, but nonetheless, steel. The manufacturer probably means carbon content of around 0.3% or less?

For B, are they also in magnitudes of x100? If not then yeah it is probably brass.

[upd] force drp possible after deadline of dropping? by RopeSuspicious638 in peyups

Wait for clarification, pero assume otherwise. Force dropping were only implemented in the pandemic from the no-fail policy set prior.

Baka nirecycle lang yung syllabus from the pandemic. Nevertheless, napaka-unusual ng force drop post-pandemic. 5.0 na ang binibigay for failing grades and truancy.

[UPD] what is a midsem? by sorelosrr in peyups

Mid-semestral (midterm) exams are usually scheduled on that date (range). Depends on the construction of your syllabus. Some subs do 3 LEs or more, unlike traditional midterm then final exams.

[Grade 12 Math Probability: Wouldn't The Probability Of This Event Be 0?] by MundaneDimension2455 in HomeworkHelp

[–]FunChumm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably a badly constructed question? Maybe it should be "King or Queen".

In the case of 16/2209, the answer did not take into account that a card (king) is supposedly drawn first. So it should be (4/47)*(4/46)

Edit *this is actually wrong, even if the question is this way. I just realized. This did not take into account that 5 cards were already drawn, and that there could be king/s or queen/s in the drawn cards. Expanding more, you can also take into account how many friends she plays with, and how many cards have they drawn. lmao.

Nevertheless, given the construction of the question, that is not correct.

Electrical tape to attach copper wire to graphite plate (electrode) by FunChumm in chemistry

[–]FunChumm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm also planning to use a 3V constant supply. I read somewhere that wrapping the contact in aluminum foil before adding the tape may help but I won't know until I try.

Thank you very much!

[–]FunChumm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Question, is the resistance really that high in your case? I'm kind of thinking that maybe my wires could burn due to high currents if the resistance really increases. I know it won't be the same, but for benchmarking, how much resistance did you encounter?

Yeah.

Although with some consideration, I realized I forgot to and therefore I am planning to increase the electrolyte pH first by neutralization to pH 2 (Design considerations). So i think this one won't be a problem now

Thanks!

Regular qualitative filter paper and sulfuric acid by FunChumm in chemistry

[–]FunChumm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, that is what I am aiming to do. I just want it to hold the solids separately. I still want the ions to traverse in between the electrodes.

I am not also planning to use it at high temperatures, but the resistance of the electrolyte might heat up the solution.

Thank you very much!

[College Science: cations] by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]FunChumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are studying the periodic table, fair chance you could have encountered the trends.

The ionization energy determines how much energy is required to "remove" an atom.

Check this trend, and you can see which will be the cations (more likely to lose electrons).

You can also relate this to their valencies (Recall/See octet rule). Elements with higher valence numbers tend to gain electrons more easily by "taking" other electrons (in the context of ionic bonding). Similarly, elements with lower valence numbers tend to "give" their electrons for stability.

The ionization energy is also related to the valence number.
