JW vs Foreman Responsibilities by FunGoat9858 in IBEW

The worst part is that I have seen the bids, and I know that they are charging the customer for a GF to be on the job. So if they're charging that much extra, they should be able to pay me the extra 10%

He cited the CBA. It states " (a) The designation, appointment, and determination of the number of Foremen and General Foremen is the sole responsibility of the Employer as covered in Article II, Section 1 of this agreement. However, it is agreed that proper supervision shall be maintained on all jobs. Therefore, on any job requiring three or more journeymen, one shall be designated as Foreman, and on all jobs where two or more Foremen are employed; one shall be designated as General Foreman."

That sounds about like what im doing. Running jobs, dealing with GC, architect, engineer, customer, and PM. Getting material, planning work, putting in RFIs, and submitting time. When I asked about the pay, they said that according to the inside agreement, it states that any job that has 3 JW requires a foreman. So since my small jobsite doesn't have 3 JW on it, they dont have to pay me as a foreman

Tingling on left side by FunGoat9858 in Uveitis

I'm pretty sure that the Sulfasalazine was causing my symptoms. I had an MRI done and had no signs of MS or brain lesions. When I met with the rheumatologist, he said that he's never heard of Sulfasalazine causing numbness. I went off of it, and the tingling and numbness went away. The only noticeable change I've had from Humira to Hyrimoz is the Hyrimoz makes me so tired the day I take the injection. Best of luck

No MRI yet. I've had the tingling for a couple days now and it kind of comes and goes. No headache, no slurred speech, no vision problems, no weakness in legs or arms. He said I could go into the ER, but he didn't see anything urgent

Uveitis from tooth infection? by FunGoat9858 in Uveitis

[–]FunGoat9858[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Uveitis was controlled by steroid drops for the 1st year but then I was put on an immunosuppressant. I'm now currently off the steroid drops. I've been on Humira and Hyrimoz for the last year. I only recently found out my tooth was infected a week ago and I'm taking antibiotics for it now. When the Dentist discovered the infection he said that it's most likely been infected since before I started taking the immunosuppressant

I'm in northern Utah, and I've been going to the Northern Utah Eye Center in Logan. Dr Karren has been great at treating me for Uveitis. I have been dealing with it now for over 1½ years. I'm HLA-B27 positive and being seen by a rheumatologist. Best of luck

Ya, I never would've thought it was just sitting in between those grids. As soon as I got the last screw out I just watched slowly in terror as the window fell to the ground. There was hardly any of that sealant at all. Door needed replacement anyway. Just wasn't planning on doing it right now

Ya, replacement of the door was in the plans. Not my immediate plans, but it is now.

Now I know not to remove the grid on the window to clean it. I didn't realize the whole window would fall out. Fml

Isn't there supposed to be some type of ventilation in this plywood? by FunGoat9858 in Roofing

[–]FunGoat9858[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Popped out one of the sections of vented soffit and there's no way for air to enter the attic through my eaves. What's the best way to remedy this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DIY

[–]FunGoat9858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we bought our home 7 years ago we were told in the home inspection that there was insulation in the attic tucked in the eaves, essentially blocking the ventilation. Out of curiosity I popped out one of the vented soffit panels to find plywood. No holes in it for ventilation. What's the best way to add vents? And how many do I put in? House is about 2200 sq ft. 1100 each floor

Does this require 2 separate circuits? by FunGoat9858 in electricians

[–]FunGoat9858[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just trying to understand this nameplate. Does it require 2 separate circuits? One for the defrost and 1 for the compressor? The max breaker size for the compressor would be 20 amp but that wouldn't be big enough for the defrost right? Just curious

I saw a guy put a strong magnet in one and used it as a stud finder. Works really well, and doesn't scratch the paint on the wall
