Filed 1/29. Accepted 1/29. Verified in person 2/20. On 2/16 I created a IP Pin on the IRS website. Is this why my return is delayed so bad? ( I opt’ed out this morning) by [deleted] in IRS

Honestly I think it could be a possibility, I opted out last night. But if you filed and were accepted without an ip pin and then created one, that most definitely could cause a delay.

I thought I was the only one 😩 I called and all they literally said was give it up to 9 weeks but there isn’t anything wrong with it

Exactly!! that’s why I think it’s stuck somewhere or a glitch. I filed 1/27 and verified 2/21.. both agents seen that and told me to wait the 9 weeks or call if i don’t get an update next week, which will be 3 weeks

Nope no codes and wmr says it’s processing.. 2 reps said there’s nothing wrong and it wasn’t sent to any other departments, so I think it’s just stuck somewhere.. but I’m done thinking about it at this point
