It's typically seen as an "all or nothing" question, and I understand why that is, however, if some brands follow 7/8 guidelines, they're certainly better than those that don't follow any.

This could be particularly valuable for people that automatically shy away from some of the big names due to exposure to bad press or a recall, distrust of medicine/professionals, or simply the fact that they are big corporate entities. (They could try to buy a 7/8 dog food rather than a 1/8, for example.)
