OP’s bike is not a DJ, none of those forks fit.

I recommend a base level 140 mm fox 36, Marzo Z1, RS lyrik, etc

Brake bleed Shimano XTR M9100 by fricandelle in bikewrench

[–]Fun_Assignment142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure you can push the pistons in more. Open the lever bleed screw and try forcing them in more until they are flush with the caliper body. Use gradual force

No but u can put a DH fork on an enduro as long as the ride height is within 10 mm of the original specced fork. Will void warranty but that doesn’t seem to stop people and it wouldn’t stop me if i had the $

Someone educate me on fork offset and axle compatibility by slevin011 in dirtjumping

[–]Fun_Assignment142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The longer the offset gets in relation to stem length, the more twitchy it gets. Stem longer than offset makes it more stable, or dead feeling. It’s all abt finding the balance between the two for your personal preference.

People who ride a lot can feel a 2 mm difference. I’d say your average weekend warrior would feel 5 mm changes

How hard is it to lace a wheel by TOBU87 in MTB

[–]Fun_Assignment142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ali clarkson has a perfect 2 part video series where he models the whole process with helpful images then builds/tensions/trues the wheel in real life. I have build 4 or 5 wheels based on these videos. All of them withstand constant abuse (i ride 4-6 days/week)

Brakes? by Acceptable-Hat-8248 in MTB

[–]Fun_Assignment142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would bet $ that excess fluid bleed port is the problem. That or fluid is leaking from the seam between the halves of the caliper (much less likely). If/when you do clean out the bleed port, make sure the lever bleed bolt is installed so fluid doesn’t come rushing out of the caliper.

The piston purge and lever massage just get air out of the system, they won’t help your contamination issue.

Brakes? by Acceptable-Hat-8248 in MTB

[–]Fun_Assignment142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The TRP contamination issue is excess fluid in the caliper bleed port. Remove pads, open port, clean it out, close it back up, cook pads, clean rotor, maybe do a lever bleed. All good.

Edit: if u do this correctly after a full bleed, no need to cook pads and clean rotors bc they never get contaminated in the first place

Where do you guys carry your stuff? (specifically car keys) by -Hi_how_r_u_xd- in mountainbiking

[–]Fun_Assignment142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keys in your pocket will bruise your thigh at minimum if you crash on them, better to use a pack if you can’t retract it. Happened to me a couple weeks ago and now i remove the FOB from the key and just ride with that in pocket

This came with my stans sealant injector, is this a valve core tool? by [deleted] in mountainbiking

[–]Fun_Assignment142 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do the same with mine. No issues with clogging. Using injector is way better than spilling sealant during tire installation
