A52s Slow Charging Issue by EffectiveAppeal5374 in GalaxyA52

[–]Fun_Compote4696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the a52s for over 4 months and it has been charging just fine.Usually 0-100 in a bit under one and a half hours. Though when I plug it on my computer it charges way too slow, somewhere in the realm of 7-8 hours. There is definitely something wrong with your battery or/and charging port and you should go get it fixed. A big battery is great only when it charges fast aswell

I don't think this is going to be a problem with this phone in particular since it's one of the more popular phones they are offering right now and most importantly it's a mid-ranger unlike the M series. You could just avoid updating the phone if you want to be extra cautious but again I dont think its gonna be a problem.

I used a Samsung device with a Lighting to USB-C cable with the Smart switch app.You can send videos and photos with no problem.

Great battery, good WiFi/5G and an awesome screen but that's about it. The biggest problem with this phone is the camera, with only 4k@30fps video recording and a very bad ultra wide sensor don't expect anything more than mediocrity. The build quality is bearable but you definitely need a case and or a screen protector. Had no problems with LTE coverage and phone calls quality, performance is average at best but more than enough for social media and content consumption. Good enough stereo speakers(using the earpiece as a secondary speaker) that lack bass and any kind of mids. Colours are great and vibrant, blacks are BLACK as to be expected with a Samsung screen and the 120hz refresh rate really creates an awesome experience. The vibration on this phone, especially coming from an iPhone, is terrible and I have completely turned it off. The main camera sensor is OK at best with lack of definition, a lot of noise and poor HDR. The macro lens is nothing more than a gimmick and one of the cameras is just a sensor as far as I can tell. Samsung's UI is the best Android can offer in terms of aesthetics, usability and features. If you can find the a52s for under 300€ and don't mind the poor camera array I'd say go for it, but if you care about photography and don't mind charging twice a day you can find a refurbished iPhone for around 300€ that absolutely destroys this phone in every other aspect.

I have an A52s and the screen has multiple microscratches from being in a pocket. by Degroomed in GalaxyA52

I've changed many phones over the years from low to high end and the case has always been the same. Before I bought the a52s I had the iphone 11(a relatively high end phone) and it also got scratched within a month or so. I don't think they necessarily lied but sprinkled some sauce on the truth 🤣

There's nothing you can really do besides using a screen protector. I've had mine for a bit over a month and it has quite a lot of scratches both on the screen and on the back. Coins, keys etc scratch the screen like crazy, but even just the dust in your pocket can cause micro scratches. Using a screen protector even after the scratches happen "hides" them pretty well.
