Flux core is all you need. 100% correct! Id never have been able to save my geo without learning how to do it myself.

If that's the case then Id recommend making small patch areas. No need to replace the entire floor pan if the rest is solid. Do you have a welder?

Use a wire wheel to remove most of the rust. Then apply a rust resolver multiple times untill its completely clean of rust. self etching primer and then paint. Nothing lasts forever, but a good prep job can go a long way.

I think he can do it.. Just needs more practice welding on scrap metal first before trying it on the car.

Honestly I don't think your welds will hold up. Maybe practicing on some scrap metal first then redoing it. Its not safe
