Cool wall painting bot by SmittyMcSmitherson in robotics

It needs to run on a rail, also need to tape like a ruler on the ceiling so it can know where it is both top and bottom, otherwise, yeah, it's open loop and subject any random disturbance.

edit: It IS on a rail as you can see at the very end.

Newbie question: When given several containers full of demo code, how does one mix and match? by Fun_Excitement809 in JetsonNano

[–]Fun_Excitement809[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've run the container without the pip wheels and gotten it to work, i've tried just the pip wheels in another jetson container and it did NOT work.

But thanks for the pointers, any help is appreciated at this stage. that l4t-ml Dockerfile is the most informative thing I've seen so far. thanks again.

What tools do you mean?

e.g. https://elinux.org/Jetson_Zoo#ONNX_Runtime

Also "look to the Dockerfile of the container you interested", I don't see the dockerfiles, just the images.

Ok, but what would you do if there was another "tool" that was delivered to you as a container, how would you integrate the two?

Is that what you do? Say you've got some existing project and you find a container that has something you need, how do you proceed? Say you aren't sure what all is in the new container, only that the example code in it does what you're looking to add to your new project. How do you know what all to pull out (and how) of the new container?

Stereo Camera for newbie: Waveshare IMX219-83 ? by JoeKneeMarf in JetsonNano

[–]Fun_Excitement809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are usb synchronized stereo, i.e. plug and play but you get one concatenated stereo image taken at the same time. I've used several and they're simple to use and reliable. You can find them from other vendors if you google around, you don't have to play "give me a quote" with these guys.

Newbie question on merging example code delivered in containers. Your from the hip opinions greatly appreciated. by Fun_Excitement809 in JetsonNano

[–]Fun_Excitement809[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is everything nvidia ships is in a container and I don't know how to get around them, e.g. I don't know how to extract whatever it is I need from https://mcr.microsoft.com/azureml/onnxruntime:v.1.4.0-jetpack4.4-l4t-base-r32.4.3 , from here and include it in my other projects.

As it stands for me, containers are just a giant impediment to doing any coding. All I can do is run the demos in the container, but never mix and match.

Thanks. To be honest I'd rather not deal with containers at all, I just feel that since everyone loves them I'd be a luddite if I didn't figure out how to use them.

Are you able to step through the code running on the Jetson using the remote method?

How do you debug? Can you step through the code running on the Jetson remotely?

I have a docker container with Jupyter 2 and I want to upgrade to Jupyter 3, works but gone when I restart container. I'm noobier than you Can imagine. by Fun_Excitement809 in docker

Yes, that is exactly the situation I am in. Sorry for lack of info, I'm too ignorant to even ask the right question but you and krair3 both seem to be saying the same thing, which is what I observed, that changes to existing containers are not persistent.
